Actor Jagannadha Varma passed away

K N Jagannatha Varma(77), veteran actor in Malayalam Movies and Television serials passed away on Tuesday 20 December 2016 in a private hospital in Neyyattinkara, Thiruvananthapuram. He is admitted to the hospital due to prolonged pneumonia. His last rites and funeral were held in the premises of his ancestral home Kattunkal Kovilakam at Varanadu in Cherthala.

He is survived by his wife Shanta Varama, son Manu Varama and daughter Priya Varma. His daughter Priya is married to Malayalam movie director Viji Thampi.

Jagannatha Varma retired from Kerala Police as Superintendent of police and is also an accomplished Kathakali artist. He was also a percussionist, learned the art from Kalamandalam Raman Namboothiri. He made his 'arangetram' as Thayambaka artist at the age of 74 and loved to devote time to the instrument.

He is known for aristocratic role and almost type casted in the roles of police officer, judge, or bureaucrat. He last acted in Malayala Manorama serial Mangalyapattu.

Nisha is also a great cook. She participated in Kairali TV's Celebrity Kitchen Magic hosted by Lekshmi Nair. Nisha Sarang and actress Anila Sreekumar were the first prize winners in this competition.  Later she became part of kids cookery show Kuttikalavara on Flowers TV. That paved her way to the super hit comedy serial Uppum Mulakum  by R Unnikrishnan.

Following the success of Uppum Mulakum which reached more than 200 episodes, she became part of many comedy shows including Comedy stars on Asianet and Comedy Super nite on Flowers TV

Nisha hails from Palluruthi in Ernakualam. She is the daughter of Shargadharan and Shyamala. Nisha got married to her cousin at an young age and has two daughters Ravathy Chandran and Revitha Chandran, both are students. Nisha completed her under graduation from SN College Kollam, after her marriage. Nisha was trained in music and dance from an young age, with specialization in Bharatnatyam. She lives currently with her family in Kakkanadu in Ernakulam. She has mentioned in many interviews that her life was not a happy one and she struggled to make ends meet. It was her acting career that helped her to improve her life. She also said that she is an independent family loving women who likes to be happy and take everything positive by ignoring troubles on the way. Serial and Film Actress Rekha Mohan Found Dead

Malayalam Actress Rekha Mohan found dead inside her flat in Shobha city in Thrissure on 12 November 2016. The reason for her death is still investigated by police. Police suspects that Rekha's death have occurred two days ago.

As her husband, currently in Malysia cannot contact her for the last two days,  he informed her driver and found that her flat was closed for two days. Her driver then informed police and security of the flat. The door was locked from inside. Her flat was then opened in the presence of Police. Her body was then found leaning over the dining table. After completing the inquest, her body was shifted to hospital for postmortem. She is survived by her husband.

This news came as a shock to Malayalam TV and movie industry. Rekha Mohan has acted in many malayalam serials and films. She has acted in  Udyana palakan, Nee Varuvolam and Yathramozhi. She is known to Malayalam Television audience as heroine of Mayamma and Sthreejanmam serials. She was also part of many other TV serials.

Update: Police confirmed after postmortem that she died of heart attack. It is also reported that Rekha was under treatment for cancer for a long time

Mayamohini Serial Actress Sabarna Anand (Suguna) found dead

Sabarna, V actress, RJ and anchor was found dead in  her house at Maduravoyal in Chennai on Friday , 11 November 2016. As Sabarna's house door was not opened for three days and also after getting stinky smell neighbors informed police. Police opened the door and found her dead. A letter was also recovered from her house. The reason behind the unnatural death is not yet known- Is it an accident, suicide or murder?.

Ronson Vincent (also reffered as George Ronson Vincent) is an Indian actor and model. He is now known for his acting Malayalam Serials and Telugu films. Career
Ronson started his career as a model. He made his debut as a film actor in 2010 through Telugu film Manasara directed by Ravi Babu. Actor Kochaniyan (R. Govinda Pillai) passed away

Malayalam film and television serial actor Kochaniyan (R. Govinda Pillai) passed away on Tuesday morning, 17 May 2016  at a private hospital in Kollam. He was 72. He was diagnosed with cancer and was under medical treatment for some time. However, his condition worsened and was admitted to the hospital. His funeral will be held on the grounds of his house in Aythil on 18 May 2016. He is survived by his wife G Nalinambika and two daughters, Swapna & Pinki (son in laws are Shaym P Nair and G.S Narayanan)


Kochaniyan, after completing his graduation from Fathima matha College, joined Indian Railways in Bangalore and worked there 1972. He later served as the senior manager of the Kollam District Cooperative Bank. He has pursued his acting career even while on service.

Kochaniyan has more than 20 years experience as theatre artist. He has acted in 25 movies and nearly 100 television serials. He has debuted as a theatre artist through Assisi Arts Club and Kollam Mela. His role in Kalidasa Kala Kendram's  drama Sati directed by O. Madhavan, gave him much awaited break in his acting career.

He later debuted as a television actor through the popular Malayalam television serial, Arabikkadalinte Rani on Doordarshan. It was soon followed by his film debut in Balachandra Menon’s Sesham Kazhcvhayil. He also acted in Mr. Menon’s April 18 and Prashanam Gurutharam . In addition to this he has acted in Samooham, Pakshe, CBI Diary Kurippu, Cheppadi Vidya, Nerariyan CBI ,  among many others

Nyla Usha to host Malayalam Game show Minute to Win it on Mazhavil Manorama

Nyla Usha is the anchor of the brand new game show 'Minute to win it' on Malayalam Channel Mazhavil Manorama.  The channel picked actress, model and Radiao Jocky  Nyla Usha to host the reality show. Minute to Win it is the Malayalam adaptation of International game show with the same name. This  new game will be launched on April 9, 2016 at 9:00 PM.

Nyla Usha is the daughter of Gopakumar and Usha Kumari. After completing her studies at Holy Angel's Convent, and All Saints College, Trivandrum, Kerala, she moved to Dubai, UAE in 2004 to join the radio station Hit 96.7 where she currently works as a radio jockey. Nyla got married to Rona Rajan in 2007 and they have a son named Aarnav.

Nyla Usha became familar face to malayalm audience after her debut as an actress through Mamootty starrer, Kunjanathante Kada. Her latest movie is National Award winning movie Pathmari by Salim Ahamed, where she appeared in a cameo role. She has also acted in Punaylan Agarbathis, Gangster and Fireman are her other malayalam movies. She won Asiavision Award for Best Debutant Actress Kunjananthante Kada in 2013 and Masala Award for Best RJ in 2012. Now it is her turn to show case her talent on malayalam Television show. 2

Minute to Win it will have 82 episodes and it is the Malayalam version of  popular game show that run successfully in 60+ countries already. Mazhavil Manorma channel is all set to launch this new game show in partnership with Endemol Shine. The first season will span over a period that cover  festive seasons of like Vishu, Ramzan, Onam and Christmas and include celebrities as the contestants. It is a game show where the contestants take part in a series of 60-second (1-minute) challenges that use objects that are commonly available around house.The contestant is needed to complete a certain level with 60-seconds time period and need to complete each and every levels to reach the Top of Money Tree with Three Lives. The winner of the show will be awarded Rs.10 Lakh Rupees as cash prize.

Malavika Wales- Actress in Movies and TV Serials | Nandhini serial actress

Malavika Wales is an Indian Actress working mostly in south Indian films. She is also a television actress, dancer and model. She is known currently to Malayali audience as Ponnambili, the leading character of a malayalam serial on Mazhavil Manorama

Career
She started her career as a dancer. She is trained in classical dance since  six-year-old under maestros such as Kalamandalam Kshemavathy and Kalamandalam Prasanna Unni. She has received formal training in Bharatanatyam, Mohiniyattom and Kuchipudi. Malavika debuted into entertainment industry through a documentary Ayisha directed by Lenin Rajendran while studying in Class VI.

The turning point in her life was Miss Kerala contest in 2009. She participated in the contest at the age of 16, entered the third round of competition and won the title Miss Beautiful Eyes at the contest. Director Vineeth Sreenivasan noted her photos following the contest and cast her as heroine of his directorial debut movie Malarvadi Arts Club. The movie was also the debut film of Nivin Pauly and was box office hit. Following Malarvadi Arts Club, she was  featured in Lenin Rajendran Makaramanju, Innanu Aa Kalyanam, My fan Ramu and Attakadha. Malavika played the lead role in Nandeesha, the Kannada remake of malayalam film Thilakkam. Malavika Wales was born to late P.G.Wales and Sudina Wales at Thrissur on 15 November 1993. Her father was  a chartered accountant. She has an elder brother named Mithun Wales. Malavika did her schooling at Hari Sri Vidya Nidhi School Thrissur. Soon after the movie Malarvady Arts Club and completion of Plus II, she joined a three month diploma course in acting at Anupam Khers institute of acting. Career
Vivek  started his career as a cricketer. It was the dream of his father to see Vivek as a cricketer. He was part of school, college cricket team. He also participated in Kerala State cricket championship. Vivek has been a left hand spinner and was part of Kerala's Under 19 cricket team. He started working as a medical representative to meet his financial needs and continued his cricket practice even when he was working in pharmaceutical sector for seven years. Vivek Gopan is the son of late Gopan and late Mangala Devi . He was born on 3rd April 1983 in Thiruvananthapuram and was named as Gopakumar Vivek Gopan (aslo known as Vikky). Vivek has completed his schooling in Thiruvanthapuram, capital of Kerala. His father Gopan was a lab technician. His mother Mangaladevi was a music teacher in Ramadevi Mandir in Vazhuthakkadu, Trivandrum. Following the death of his mother, his grandmother, Sethukuttiamma (musician and artist in Akashavani) took care of him. He has a sister named Devika. Adil Ibrahim (aka Adhil Ibrahim) is an Indian actor working mostly in Malayalam Films. He is also a model, Radio Jocky and Television Anchor.

Career
Adil Debuted as an actor through Sangeeth Sivan’s Endless Summer (2014) along with National award winning actors Salim Kumar and Seema Biswas. His next film was Persiakkaran (2014) directed by Ashok R Nath. In this film he portrayed the lead role as Aravind. The movie was later remade in Tamil as Thirundhuda Kadhal Thiruda. Actress Renu Soudar to play the role of Karthika in Karuthamuthu Serial

The character Karthika was away from viewers for the last month and viewers were wondering what has happened to her. She hide with the help of Iyer and Sreekath (Giridhar ) to escape from the clutches of Merina (Archana Susheelan), the villian in this serial. Actress Premi Viswanath  was away from the serial, she joined  Kuttikalavara, a reality show for Kids on Flowers TV as an anchor and also joined Moonumani serial on Flowers TV. In her recent Facebook post, Premi Viswanath said she remained jobless for almost two months  as the makers of "Karuthamuthu" cancelled many of her scenes in the serial . It was then that she got a chance to be part of "Kuttikalavara" on  Flowers channel, in which she participated on a temporary basis.  She said that she was removed from the serial earlier itself and didnt inform her about it.  Then  "Karuthamuthu" evicted her from the serial siting this reason and she claims that she never wanted to opt out of the serial intentionally.
