Malayalam Actress Rekha Mohan found dead inside her flat in Shobha city in Thrissure on 12 November 2016. The reason for her death is still investigated by police. Police suspects that Rekha's death have occurred two days ago.
As her husband, currently in Malysia cannot contact her for the last two days, he informed her driver and found that her flat was closed for two days. Her driver then informed police and security of the flat. The door was locked from inside. Her flat was then opened in the presence of Police. Her body was then found leaning over the dining table. After completing the inquest, her body was shifted to hospital for postmortem. She is survived by her husband.
This news came as a shock to Malayalam TV and movie industry. Rekha Mohan has acted in many malayalam serials and films. She has acted in Udyana palakan, Nee Varuvolam and Yathramozhi. She is known to Malayalam Television audience as heroine of Mayamma and Sthreejanmam serials. She was also part of many other TV serials.
Update: Police confirmed after postmortem that she died of heart attack. It is also reported that Rekha was under treatment for cancer for a long time
