Actor Kochaniyan (R. Govinda Pillai) passed away

Malayalam film and television serial actor Kochaniyan (R. Govinda Pillai) passed away on Tuesday morning, 17 May 2016  at a private hospital in Kollam. He was 72. He was diagnosed with cancer and was under medical treatment for some time. However, his condition worsened and was admitted to the hospital. His funeral will be held on the grounds of his house in Aythil on 18 May 2016. He is survived by his wife G Nalinambika and two daughters, Swapna & Pinki (son in laws are Shaym P Nair and G.S Narayanan)


Kochaniyan, after completing his graduation from Fathima matha College, joined Indian Railways in Bangalore and worked there 1972. He later served as the senior manager of the Kollam District Cooperative Bank. He has pursued his acting career even while on service.

Kochaniyan has more than 20 years experience as theatre artist. He has acted in 25 movies and nearly 100 television serials. He has debuted as a theatre artist through Assisi Arts Club and Kollam Mela. His role in Kalidasa Kala Kendram's  drama Sati directed by O. Madhavan, gave him much awaited break in his acting career.

He later debuted as a television actor through the popular Malayalam television serial, Arabikkadalinte Rani on Doordarshan. It was soon followed by his film debut in Balachandra Menon’s Sesham Kazhcvhayil. He also acted in Mr. Menon’s April 18 and Prashanam Gurutharam . In addition to this he has acted in Samooham, Pakshe, CBI Diary Kurippu, Cheppadi Vidya, Nerariyan CBI ,  among many others

Kochaniyan's hit serials include Vamsham, Sthree, Murapennu, Snehatheeram, Black and White, Maunameghangal, Hamsageetham,Vadhu, among many others . His last serial was 7 Rathrikal on Asianet, which he couldn't complete due to health issues.

Sthreedhanam Serial Climax Episode on 14th May 2016 on Asianet

Popular Malayalam TV Serial  Sthreedhanam on Asainet Channel has  reached its climax. The Final episode of Sthreedhanam Serial will be telecasted on 14 May 2016 at 10:00 PM.  That will be 1143 th Episode of Sthreedhanam Serial.  It was one of the most popular serial and longest running serial on Asianet. This tele serial has won many awards at the  Asianet Television Awards 2014.

 The first episode of the serial was telecasted on 2-June 2012 at 8:00PM. The serial is produced by R.Ramesh Babu and  directed by Krishnamorrthy.  Sthreedhanam narrates the journey of Divya of of Meledathu family and  the daughter-in-law of the aristocratic Palat family, who is tortured by her greedy mother-in-law, Sethulekdmi for dowry. She is married to Prasanthan, Sethulekshmi's elder son. Sethulekshmi has three sons -Prasanthan, Prakashan, Prasad and and a daughter, Prema.

Actor Vishnu Prakash acted as  Lekshaman Pillai is Sethu lekshmi's husband. Rajeev Roshan give life to Prasanthan and Divya Viswanath played the role of the heroine Divya. Climax/Last Episode details :The climax Episode shows the victory of  virtue. Sethulekshmi accidentally stabs Veni on the stomach while trying to save Divya from her. Prasad and Pooja feel guilty for doubting Sethu's fidelity and seek forgiveness from her. The Palat family is moved into tears as Sethu is taken to the prison. The serial ends when Sethulekshmi is taken to custody by Police and the others watch her going.

Aluvayum Mathi Kariyum is a new comedy serial launching on Asianet Plus. This satirical family drama will be aired every Friday to Saturday at 9:30 PM starting from April 29, 2016.  The new serial is directed by Prada Nooranad with a script by Alby. Anantha Padmanabhan is the producer of this serial.

Dini Elizabeth Daniel (Dini Daniel) is an actress active in Malayalam Television Serials. She also worked as a TV anchor.

Career

Dini started her career as a television anchor for Malanadu Online channel (Mukhangal )when she was a school student. She later hosted shows like Club Class in Safari channel and Valkkannadi in Asianet while working as a lecturer in nursing college. These programs gave her opportuniity in Malayalam TV serials. to pursue her passion in acting she quit her teaching job.

Dini debuted as a malayalam television serial actress through the serial Pattusari on Mazhavil Manorama Channel directed by A.M Nazeer. It was followed by Sarayu, Jalakavathil, Sthreedhanam, Thoovalsparsham, Vadhu, Chavara Kuriakose Achen, Vazhvemayam, Mahadevanpilla Malayalam Vadyar, Sangamam, Vellanakalude Nadu , Chandanamazha ans Chechiyamma. Dini is the daughter of  C M Daniel and Susamma Daniel, retired teachers, from Chandanapally, Pathanamthitta, Kerala. She has a brother and sister, both are settled in USA.  She completed her schooling at Sarvodaya Vidyalaya School, Thiruvananthapuram.   After completing post graduation in Nursing (MSc), Dini worked as Lecturer at Chitra Institute of Medical Sciences And Research Centre Pandalam. She is married to Mr. Mathews Philip (general manager in a three star hotel in Trivandrum) and they are blessed with a daughter, Angela. Dini quit her job as a nursing college teacher to pursue a career in acting.

Mridhula Vijai (also referred as Mridula Vijay) is an Indian Actress known for her works in Malayalm Serials , Malayalam  and Tamil films. She is also a TV anchor and dancer.
Mridula  is known to Malayali audience through her role as Arya in Kalyanasougandikam, an Asianet TV serial and Krishna in KrishnaThulasi Tv series on Mazhavil Manorama.
Career
Mridula started her journey as an artist through dance. She started her acting career through a short film. She made her debut as a heroine through Tamil Movie Jeniffer Karuppaiya (2015) directed by Saravana Pandiyan. It was followed by a leading role in Malayalam Movie 'Celebration' written and directed by Manjith Divakar.

Mridula made her mini screen debut as the anchor of Kairali TV Reality Show ' Dance Party'.

Mridhula shot to fame through her debut Malayalm Serial Kalyana Sougandikam on Asianet. In this family drama she portrayed the role of Arya, a bold girl and one of the leading characters of the serial.  She later bagged the role of heroine Krishna, a helpless girl, in Mazhavil Manorama Serial Krishna Thulasi. The contrast of the two characted gave her enough opportunity to showcase her talent and versatality as an actress. These two serials made her popular among malayali viewers.

Personal Life
Mridual is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Vijai living in Thiruvananthapuram. She is currently pursuing B.A in  Psychology. She is a trained classical (Bharathanatyam) dancer. Cinema is her passion and she aspires to make it big in Films. Noted cinematographer Anandakuttan was her father's uncle and her grandfather also worked as film editor in malayalam movies.

Earlier this year, on Februray 2016, Meghna anounced her marriage with Don Tony.  The groom, Don, from Thrissure is the chief executive of a private company Dream Creations. He is the son of Tony and Dency and brother of actress Dimple Rose.

Megna is the daughter of Vincent and Nimmy (yesteryear actress ) and is originally from Kochi, Ernakulam.  Megna is known to Malayali audience by the name of her character Amrita in the Asianet Malayalam Serial Chandana Mazha. Winners of 8th Vayalar Rama Varma Film and Television Awards 2016

The winners of 8th Vayalar Ramavarama Awards for Movies and Television were announced on April 6, 2016 at Trivandrum. The awards were given to movies released during March 2015 to March 2016 and also to television programs aired during that period. A jury led by Sreekumaran Thambi as the chairman selected the awards. Other members of the jury include Poovachal Khader, Dr M.R Thamban, K.Chandrika, Balu Kiriyathu, Somasekharan Nair, Vayalar Madhavan Kutty, Sabeer Thirumala .

Kaviyoor Ponnamma and Nedumudi Venu were honoured with Chalachithra Rathna  and Vayalar Kalashretra awards, respectively, while Ramachandra Babu received award for over all contribution.   Malayalam movie  Su Su Vathmeekam directed by Renjith Sanker is selected as the best movie and Jayasurya bagged the best actor award. Nyla Usha is the anchor of the brand new game show 'Minute to win it' on Malayalam Channel Mazhavil Manorama.  The channel picked actress, model and Radiao Jocky  Nyla Usha to host the reality show. Minute to Win it is the Malayalam adaptation of International game show with the same name. This  new game will be launched on April 9, 2016 at 9:00 PM.

Nyla Usha is the daughter of Gopakumar and Usha Kumari.
