Kanakanmani tells the story of Jayanthan Menon and his daugher Manasa.The family drama begins with Jayanthan Menon's assistant Kaimal meeting Jayanthan Menon's wife Chitra conveying his wish to meet his daugher, Manasa before he closes his eyes for ever. However both Chithra and Manasa reveals their hatred and enmity towards him. Manasa maked her friend Krishnendu as Manasa and send her to Jayanthan Menon. But a turn of events has now brought all three of them under one roof .
