Neermathalam -New Malayalam Serial on Asianet from May 1, 2017

Neermathalam Serial-Cast, Crew, Telecast date, time, actors, actresses, wiki etc: Neermathalam is a new Malayalam horror Serial on Malayalam entertainment Channel Asianet.  The promos of the serial is out announcing the launch of the new family drama. The serial is directed by S Janrdhanan. He is the director of  Kalyana Sougandhikam and  Parasparam serials on Asianet.

Neermathalam serial will be aired every Mon-Friday at 6:30 PM. The details on cast,crew, actor or actress details of Neermathalam will be updated soon.   Neermathalam  tells the story of Gauri, a girl killed inside a bungalow Chandrakantham . The story tells why Gauri went for suicide and reason behind. This intense emotional drama depicts the relationship between family members while retaining the horror element. The character of heroine Gouri will be portrayed by Actress Rebekka. Popular actors Sreekutty, Vrinda, Venu and Stabin will portray the other lead roles of the serial.

Earlier Asianet announced this  horror TV serial as  Chandrakantham. A musical reality show  Asianet Super Voice will also be aired soon. Seethayanam, Pranayam, Vanambadi, Karuthamuthu, Parasparam, Chandanamazha and Bharya are the prime time serials on Asianet. Ningalkkum Aakaam Kodeeshwaran anchored by Actor Suresh Gopi is another popular show on Asianet aired every Monday to Thursday.

Asinet Channel is still holding number one position in BARC ratings on Week 15, 8-14 April 2017. Mazhavil Manorama, Surya TV, Flowers TV and recently launched Channel  Surya Movies  are holding the position from second to fifth, respectively in BARC ratings.  To fuel up channel competition, Mazhavil Manorama has recently added two serials Ammuvinte Amma and Sthreepadam tele-series with a colorful star cast

He is now familar as Sahrath/Surya in  Asianet Serial  Bharya.  This tele series  is directed by V.K Gireesh Kumar and produced by S.Ramesh Babu under the banner Rise Sun pictures. Arun plays a duel role aginst Sonu Satheesh Kumar and Souparnika Subhash. Arun is now part of Sthreepadam serial written by Joyce. In this serial on Mazhavil Manorama, he plays the role of Sooraj, love interest of Balasudha, the lead character in the family drama


Arun G Raghavan debuted as a film actor through Vilakkumaram directed by Vijay Menon. Actor Munshi Venu (63) passed away at a at a palliative care centre at Chalakudy, Thrissur, following kidney failure on Thursday, April 13, 2017.  He was suffering from kidney-related ailment and were undergoing treatment. He hails from Thiruvananthapuram and was unmarried and was living alone in a lodge in Chalakudy for the past 10 years.

Actor Munshi Venu (Venu Narayanan) is known for his role in Asianet’s social satire television show ‘Munshi’ as a panchayath member. The show fetched his roels in television serials and movies. Following the success of Munshi, he debuted as malayalm move actor in director Kamal's movie Pachakuthiara starring Dileep  in lead role.

Surabhi Lakshmi wins Best Actress Award at the 64th National Film Awards 2016

Surabhi Lakshmi winner of  Best Actress Award at the 64th National Film Awards 2016: Surabhi Lakshmi bagged the Best Actress award for her film ‘Minnaminungu’ at the 64th National Film Awards 2016. The awards were decided by a Jury with popular director Priyadarshan as the jury chairman.She was the winner of special award for best actress in 47th Kerala State Film Awards  for 2017 for the same movie.

Even though she lost the best actress award at the State Film Awards to Rajisha Vijayan, she made it at the National Level. She has won Film Critics Award for Second Best Actress in this year. Surabhi Lekshmi is the daughter of Andy and Radha from Calicut. She is married to Vipin Sudhakar (Photos).

Surabhi Lekshmi  hails from Kozhikodu is a trained dancer and theatre artist.  She is very popular as the character Pathumma, wife of Moosa,  in Media One serial M80 Moosa. Her unique sound and dialogue delivery in Caliccut accent were noted by the audience soon. She won best Comedy Actor award for  her role in M80 Moosa at the Flowers TV comedy Awards 2016. She has acted in more than 20 Malayalam Films, advertisements and Malyalam Serials. She portrayed a main character in   K.K. Rajeev's malayalam serial Kathayile Rajakumari.  Surabh is now part of  surya Tv Television show Laughing Villa season 1 & 2 and  Media One comedy show M80 Mooosa.


Minnaminungu-the firefly, is a movie directed by Anil Thomas and written by Manoj Ramsingh. The main cast include Krishnan Balakrishnan, Surabhi Lakshmi, Balu Narayanan, Prem Prakash, Suresh Prem,Rebecca Santhosh etc.

Jury Chairman Priyadarshan conveyed that Surabhi showcased brilliant performance which is why recognition came her way. According to the jury Surabhi won the best actress award for "Showcasing her brilliance in portraying pain and ecstasy of a mother in a deplorable social condition". She is the fifth actress to win National Award in Malayalam after Sarada, Monisha, Shobhana and Meera Jasmine. Meera Jasmine was the last Malayalam actress to win the best actress National Award in 2004 for her performance in Paadam Onnu: Oru Vilapam

Sthreepadam is another serial from the same team of Manjurukum Kalam, one of the longest running teledrama on Mazhavil Manorama. Sthreepadam is written by Joyce and John Paul and produced by Unnithan of Sreemovies communications.
