Winners of Kerala State Film Awards 2015 are given below. Kerala State Film Awards for the films released in 2014 was announced on Monday 10 August 2015. The  awards were selected based on a list of 70 Malayalam films selected by the Kerala State Chalachitra Academy. Minister Thriruvanjoor Radhakrishnan announced the winners in the press meet, which was held in Trivandrum.

Jayaraj's Ottal won the best film Award. Best actor award was shared by Nivin Pauly and Sudev Nair. Nazriya Nazim received best actress award for her performance in Om Shanti Osana and Bangalore Days.

John Paul was the chairman of 10-member jury including directors Bhadran Mattel, Madhupal and Balukiriyath, sound recordist Renjith, cameraman Sunny Joseph, carnatic voclaist Omanakutty and producer M. Hamsa. The jury for writings on cinema was chaired by Satheesh Babu Payyannur. Raja Narayanan and A Padmanabhan were the other members of the panel.

Story of Kalyana Sougandikam Serial : Kalyana Sougandikam serials tells the story of two close friends, Sreebala and Arya and their families. Ajayan and Murali are their brothers. To add more depth in their friendship, their Parents Devan and Thambi decide for a mutual marriage.  They decide the wedding between Sreebala and Ajayan and that between Arya and Murali. Uthara is the younger daughter of Devan and younger sister of Sreebala. Sreebala is a chronic epilepsy patient. This fact was unknown to Thambi's family. Due to this on marriage day, disaster came in the form of fits to Sreebala, making Thambi's son didn't marry her. So Sreebala's father Devan force her to marry Mohanan the son of a maid. All these resulted in lot of problems . Because of these events Sreebala's and Arya's friendship takes a different turn .

The role of heroine Sreebala is portrayed by actress and model Nithu Thomas. She is also acting currently in Kairali Tv Serial Manasa Maina.

Kitchen Magic Season 4 on Kairali TV from 20 July 2015

The season 4 of the Malayalam Cookery Competition Show, Kitchen Magic is going to be launched on 20 July 2015  on Kairali TV. The show will be telecasted every Monday to Thursday at 7.00 PM.

Kitchen magic is a pioneering malayalam cookery reality show on Kairali TV is  hosted celebrity chef , Lekshmi Nair.  Lekshmi Nair is the host of Magiv Oven, Flavors of India and previous three seasons of Kitchen Magic on Kairali TV

The culinary skills of the 15 final contestants  of Kitchen Magic Season 4 will be judges by an expert team including Lekshmi Nair and actor Michael Saju, Chef Holliday Inn.

The inauguration of Fourth season of Kitchen magic on Wednesday 24 June 2015 was  a colorful function attended by celebrities. Actor Mammootty officially inaugurated the fourth season of Kairali TV's cooking reality show 'Kitchen Magic'. He also tasted the recipes prepared by the contestants during the event. Chandanamazha Actress Shilpa Found Dead

Shilpa, Malayalam TV and film actress was found dead in Karamana River on 18 July 2015. Her body was recovered from Maruthoorkadavu spot in Karamana river in Thiruvananthapuram. The reason behind the unnatural death is not yet known- Is it an accident, suicide or murder?. The investigation to unravel the mystery of the death of  Shilpa is in progress.

Parents and relatives have filed a police complaint claiming that she was murdered. Shilpa and her friends  left home from Kattakada around 1230 PM along with a girl to attend a function in Balaramapuram and never come back.  Her father tried to contact her around 3.30 pm, but in vain , so she contacted her friend , she informed him that she left earlier. Shilpa's body was found in the river aroung 10 pm on that day. The parents suspect something mysterious had occured during the function at Balaramapuram. Police investigation is in progress.

Shipa (19 years) from Vellanad, Thiruvananthapuram is the daughter of Shaji and Suma.  Shilpa was a plus two student at Sasthamangalam RKD Memorial Higher Secondary School. She was residing near Nemam in a rented house with her parents.

Even though Shilpa is known through Sathosh Pandits movies Jithu Bhai Enna Chocolate Bhai, Kalidasan Kavitha Ezhuthukayanu.etc.,  she has acted in many movies,TV serials and appeared in advertisements. She had appeared in serials such as Chandanamazha, Pranayam, Soubhagyavathi and upcoming serial Meghasandesham.  Shilpa has also acted in three Tamil films.  Her latest Tamil movie Chiraku is under production. She was also part of Balachandra Menon's new movie Njan Samvidhanam Cheyyum. Apart from the acting career, Shilpa was a lead singer in a music troupe and used to work as a compere at functions.

She is familiar to malayalam TV audience through Chandana Mazha. Shilpa played the role of Ranjitha, the girl the character Abhishek was supposed to marry before marrying Varsha.

Personal Life
Swasika (born as Pooja) is the daughter of K.S Vijayakumar, who is an accountant working in Gulf and Girija. Swasika hails from Perumbavoor in Ernakulam District, Kerala. She has an younger brother Akash, a higher secondary school student.  Swasika had completed her schooling from Muvattupuzha Nrimal Higher Secondary School. Swasika is trained in classical dance forms even from a young age and has won Kalathilakam title in 2006. She also runs a dance school Navarasa School of Classical Dance. Swasika has completed her BA in Bharathanatyam from Kalady Shankaracharya college. In an interview given to a malayalam magazine, she mentioned her mother as her pillar of strength. She is very passionate about dancing and acting. She is hoping that her acting career in TV will bring more opportunities in movies as well.
