Swasika Vijay (born as Pooja) is an Indian Actress mostly working in Malayalam and Tamil Television Serials and Movies. She is also a trainer dancer, model and TV anchor. She was among the top ten participants in Surya TV reality show Vivel Big Break launched on 20 August 2010 to find a talented actress with a permanent judging panel with reputed Film maker Lal Jose.
Career
Swasika made her entry into Telugu movies through Etu Chusina Nuvve (2012). This movie directed by Gopesh Vibhu tells a love story with Swasika as Renu, the heroine and actor Sai Krishna as hero Hari.
Swasika played the role of heroine and supporting actress in Malayalam Movies. She acted Kaatu Paranja Katha (2012), Cinema Company, Ayalum Njanum Thamml, Banking Hours 10 to 4, Prabhuvinte Makkal, Orissa, Parayan Baaki Vechathu, On The Way and Mizhiyoram, At Once, Point Blank etc. She became part of Lal Jose's hit movie Ayalum Njanum Thammil through her success in Big break reality show on Surya TV. However, most of her movies were not commercial success. So she decided to try her luck on Television as Actress.

She made her debut into malayalam television through Mazhavil Manorama TV Serial Dathuputhri.
The show is directed by famous television Director A.M. Nazeer. Dathuputhri tells the story of a village girl Kanmani, her life and people around her. The role is a challenging one as Swasika had to portray double roles in this serial as innocent village girl Kanmani and modern girl Meenu. Through this tele drama talented Swasika won the heart of malayali audience and also received best new face awards at Dridhya TV Awards 2015 for her performance in Dathuputhri.

Swasika (born as Pooja) is the daughter of K.S Vijayakumar, who is an accountant working in Gulf and Girija. Swasika hails from Perumbavoor in Ernakulam District, Kerala. She has an younger brother Akash, a higher secondary school student. Swasika had completed her schooling from Muvattupuzha Nrimal Higher Secondary School. Swasika is trained in classical dance forms even from a young age and has won Kalathilakam title in 2006. She also runs a dance school Navarasa School of Classical Dance. Swasika has completed her BA in Bharathanatyam from Kalady Shankaracharya college. In an interview given to a malayalam magazine, she mentioned her mother as her pillar of strength. She is very passionate about dancing and acting. She is hoping that her acting career in TV will bring more opportunities in movies as well.
