Asianet has bagged Malayaalm Super Star Mohanlal as the host of the show . There will 16 contestants, 60 Cameras and 100 episodes. Bigg Boss will feature 16 celebrities living together inside a custom made ‘Bigg Boss’ house for 100 days. The participants will be completely cut off from the outside world – they will have no access to internet, phones, television or newspapers. With no way out to distract themselves, each participant will have to compete with others inside the house to complete various tasks; they will be tracked and monitored by 60 robotic & manned cameras continuously. The lavish Bigg Boss house will have all necessary comfort to stay for 100 days.

Mohanlal to host Asianet Bigg Boss Malayalam 

Bigg Boss is the biggest reality show in the country and with it doing fabulously well in regional languages (Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Bengali and now Marathi).The Telegu, Tamil Bengali and Kannada versions are hosted by Jr NTR, Kamal Haasan and Mithun Chakraborty, actor Sudeep respectively. Nayika Nayakan -New reality show to find acting talents will be launched on May 28th, 2018 Malayalam Channel Mazhavil Manorama. The show will be broadcasted every Monday to Wednesday at 9:00 PM since its lauch. The promos shows that the winners of the show will be given a chance to be the hero and heroine from the selected set of male and female contestants from auditions.

 Nayika -Nayakan will be a director Lal Jose Show. Malayalam Channel Asianet is all set to telecast their 20th Asianet Film Awards 2018 show as two episodes. Asianet Film Awards 2018 will be telecasted on 2nd June Saturday and 3rd June Sunday from 7.00 PM onwards.

The 20th Asianet Film Awards was held successfully in Angamaly's Adlux International Convention Centre on Sunday, May 20th 2018. The 20th edition of the acclaimed award showcased chief guest actor-turned-politician Kamal Haasan and a host of stars including Madhu, Mammootty, Jayaram etc . The awards were handed out for the films released in 2017.  The star filled show and colorful award event was  witnessed by around 10000 huge crowd. On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Asianet, Managing Director, K Madhavan, presented the cheque of 6 crores  to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan who attended the award ceremony. It is to assist  Chief Minister’s Nava Kerala fund.

Thodimuthalum Drisakshiyum won the award for the best film. Mahesh Narayanan won the best director award for his film Take Off. The award was handed over to him by veteran actor Nedumudi Venu. Nedumudi Venu won the 'Lifetime Achievement' award at the ceremony.  Fahadh Faasil bagged the best actor award for Thondimuthalam Driksakshiyum with Kamal Haasan handing over the award. Actor Parvathy won best female actor for her performance in Take Off. Actress Samvrutha Sunil is back to lime light with Nayika Nayakan Show on Mazhavil Manorama

Actress Samvrutha Sunil is coming back to screen after a gap thouth Mazhavil Manorama channels talent hunt show -Nayika Nakaan. A show for finding hero and heroine of Lal Jose’s latest film. Nayika Nayakan will be launched on May 28th, 2018 to find hero and heroine for a malayalam movie directed by Lal Jose. The new show will be broadcasted every Monday to Wednesday at 9:00 PM.

The promos are going on air now on her return to lime light.Actress Samvritha (Samvrutha) Sunil, who is still a girl-next-door for Keralites, has been away from the limelight for quite sometime now. The promos highlight the return of Samvrutha Sunil to lime light again as a judge of this talent hunt reality show.

She started her film career through Rasikan directed by LalJose and became part of many movies directed by him and others. Samvrutha Sunil made her debut in 2004 through the film Rasikan directed by her mentor Lal Jose, she has starred in over 40 Malayalam films and in a few Telugu and Tamil films. Her performances include in the films Arabikkatha (2007), Chocolate (2007), Thirakkatha (2008), Boomi Malayalam (2009), Cocktail (2010), Manikyakkallu (2011), Swapna Sanchari (2011), Arike (2012), Diamond Necklace (2012) and Ayalum Njanum Thammil (2012). The movie 101 Weddings (2012) was her last movie before hiatus from entertainment industry. She always maintained that she will come back given a good chance. Avanthika Mohan Quits Athmasakhi serial on Mazhavil Manorama

Popular malayalm actress Avanthika  has decided to quit the very popular Athmasakhi serial recently. She plays the lead role of a bold and modern character Nanditha who is a doctor by profession in this Malayalam TV series. Athmasakhi was launched in  May 2016 on Malayalm GEC channel Mazhavil Manorama.

This fiction is produced by Shobana Umadharan under the popular banner Sauparnika Creations. The story and script is written by noted TV actress Sangeetha Mohan and the show is directed by Mohan Kupleri.  Rayjan Rajan plays the role of the hero Sathyajith IPS. The actors and actresses include Manu Nair, Beena Antony, Sree Raksha, Sanjay, Jishin Mohan, Sangeetha Mohan etc . The protrayal of Nadhitha by Avanthika was well received by the audience and they were not happy when a new actress Divya replaced here.

The Malayalam TV serial audience were clueless about the change. Avanthika Mohan finally  revealed the reason why she quits the serial in an intereview given to a National Daily that '"I am experiencing a special phase of my life and doctors advised me to take a 3 months bed rest that's why I was forced to quit the show. I am pregnant.The initial days are very crucial and so I need to take care of the baby within me. Busy shooting schedules really affected my health" she revealed this happy news on Maother Day. She also added that she is looking forward to the first mother's day next year. She is planing to come back to entertainment industry after this break.

Actor Kalasala Babu passed away

Malayalam Actor Kalasala Babu -known for his roles in Malayalam Films, Television Serials and drama -passed away at the age of 68y on 13th May 2018 Night in Ernakulam. He was suffering from heart-related problems and was under treatment for the past three months. His health condition deteriorated after he reportedly suffered a stroke during an emergency surgery. He breathed his last on Sunday due to cerebral hemorrhage. He is survived by his wife Lalitha and children, Sreedevi who resides in the US and Viswanthan who resides in Ireland.

Kalasala Babu is the son of Kathakali maestro Kalamandalam Krishnan Nair and Kalamandalam Kalyanikutty Amma-renowned Mohiniyattam danseuse. He is active part of entetainement industry for more than 45 years. He debuted as a drama actor through plays ('Manishada' , Drishyanjali') mostly produced by Kalidasa Kala Kendram. He debuted as a film actor in 1977, in Inayethedi, the first venture of John Paul, George Kitho, Kaloor Dennis and Antony Eastman as hero of Silk Smitha, but the film was a flop. As he was not getting good response in films, he launched his own drama troupe called Kalasala in Tripunithura, which had artistes such as Thilakan and Surasu among others. This is how he got the name 'Kalasala Babu'.  The theater group was active for more than 10 years.

He started his television career through a telefilm 'Kala' made for Doordarshan in the year 1999. He essayed important roles in as many as 28 mega serials. His television serials include Kadamattath Kathanar,Swamy ayyapan,Lipstick,,Police Story, Kudumbayogam Mattoruval, Devimahatmyam, Amma, Ramayanam, Vallarpadathamma,Indira,Sooryakaladi,Parassini shri Muthappan,Sathyam Shivam Sundaram Jagratha,etc

Mohanlal to host Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 1 on Asianet

Bigg Boss Malayalam is coming soon on Asianet. The Bigg Boss Season 1 Malayalam will be broadcasted globally soon. Asianet has bagged super Star Mohanalal as the host of much awaited show on Asianet. The official launching of the show was held on Crowne Plaza on May 10, 2018. The anouncement came from Mr. K. Madhavan, M.D, Star South.

According to him, this show is expected to be another path breaking program from Asianet which already has to its credit such iconic reality shows such as Star Singer, Nigalkum Aakam Kodiswaran and many other serials. The show would include contestants not just who are from the limelight, but those from the everyday walk of life as well. In reply to the announcement of him as the anchor of Bigg Boss Mohanalal said “I hope to do a good job as an anchor and I am really grateful and honoured to take up this opportunity for the upcoming Malayalam reality show Bigg Boss. He also added that “This show will definitely be a new experience for me. It is a role that I am excited about because the challenges will be totally different. I’m really looking forward to it". Madhavan,M.D, Star South said in his speech that “We are privileged to have a great star and a personality like Mr. Mohan Lal to host Bigg Boss in Malayalam. This surely means that our viewers are in for unique and exciting entertainment.” The actor recently also hosted a chat show Lalsalaam-The complete actor on Amritha TV.

Bigg Boss Malayalam host, Anchor of Asianet Bigg Boss Season 1

Asianet Bigg Boss Malayalam show is launched as a part of celebration for completing 25th anniversary of Asianet. Presented by Asianet and produced by Endemol Shine Productions, Bigg Boss will feature 16 celebrities living together inside a custom made ‘Bigg Boss’ house for 100 days. The participants will be completely cut off from the outside world – they will have no access to internet, phones, television or newspapers. With no way out to distract themselves, each participant will have to compete with others inside the house to complete various tasks; they will be tracked and monitored by 60 robotic & manned cameras continuously. The lavish Bigg Boss house will have all necessary comfort to stay for 100 days.

The show in Bigg boss format is not new to Malayali Audience. Asianet Bigg Boss Malayalam will be a replication of the old reality show called ‘Malayali House’ telecasted on Surya TV. Rahul Easwar was the winner of the show.

Sreeram Ramachandran -Actor | Jeeva in Kasthooriman Serial on Asianet

Sreeram Ramachandran is an actor who works mostly in Malayalam Movies and Television Serials. He has also acted in Short films, Ads, albums and also worked as assistant art director. Malayalam television viewers recognize him as Jeeva in Kasthooriman -super hit serial on Asianet, adapted from 'Kumkum Bhagya'-Hindi serial on Zee Tv .

Career

Sreeram started his career as an assistant art director with Sunil Babu in Tamil film Ghajini and Villu while studying for his engineering degree. That is when he got a chance to debut in malayalm movie industry through Vineeth Sreenivasans directorial debut movie 'Malarvadi arts club' (2010) along with Nivin Pauly. It was followed by 'Thattathin Marayathu'. These two movies were super hits. He is has worked in many Tamil and Kannada movies as assistant art director before staring in Malayalam Films. 

He started as a television actor through Amrita TV program 'Just Fun Chumma' as the character Anand. This series directed by Pramod Mohan paved his way to a full time role in the Shyamaprasad movie Artist starring Fahadh Fazil and Ann Augustine in lead roles. His first musical album Ninayathe sung by Vineeth Sreenivasan directed by Ganesh Raj was released which was well received by music lovers.

Later he became part of many short films and Albums ( Just Married by Sajan Joseph, Lets take a break by Pramod Mohan, Aliveni by Jairam Ramachandran,Rollie by Abhay Stephen ,Across the Ocean by Uma Kumarapuram -Nicole Donadio, Padippura by Rajeesh Raj, Nuzhainthaley by Ganesh Raj etc). He also did a TV commercial with the legendary actor Mohanlal for Kannan Devan tea. He is now acting in Orayiram Kinakalal-Malayalam debut movie of Pramod Mohan, Gambinos by Gireesh Panicker . He will also be part of upcoming Anjali Menon film starring Prithviraj and Nazriya.

Sreeram debuted as the hero of mega serial through Asainet Malayalam Serial Kasthooriman directed by Sunil Karyatukara.  It was launched on 11th December 2017. Sreeram gives life to Jeeva, a character with negative shades, someone who is slightly arrogant and has no qualms about playing with the emotions of a girl he marries. His effortless portrayal of that character help him to became very popular among malayali audience.

Personal life and family

Sreeram Ramachandran hails from Kozhikode, Kerala. His father Pala CK Ramachandran is an accomplished senior carnatic musician and also the primary disciple of Sri.Semmangudi Srinivasa Iyer. Sreeram did his schooling from Chinmaya Vidyalaya Kozhikode and pursued engineering degree in electronics from AWH Engineering College, Kozhikode. His brother Jayaram Ramachandran is a graphics designer and animator in the film industry.  Sreeram is now settled in Kochi with his wife Vanditha and their daughter.

Kumarasambhavam is a new devotional serial lauched on Malayalam Entertainement Channel Amrita TV on 16th April 2018 . The  Mythological Serial "Kumarasambhavam" is aired every Monday to Friday at 7:00 PM, o Amrita TV. The serial will have 250 episodes and is schedule to end on 29.3.2019

Amrita Tv serial Kumarasambhavam is produced by Sree Subrahmanaym Enterprises and directed by  Manoj LM. Incorporates some very important sequences of Lord Subramanya, his meeting with Avvayyar , quarrel with Ganapathi, etc.. The demon  Tharakasura was now in control of heaven and the gods and can be killed only by Shiva' Son. Narada advises Parvathi to worship Lord Siva and win his love. Flowers Indian Film Awards 2018 -Winners List

The winner of Flowers Indian Film Awards 2018 was honored and awards were  distributed in a colorful event on 31st March 2018. Take off is the best film , Indrans won awards for best actor and Manju Warrier as best actress. Flowers TV  Channael telecasted their 2018 edition of Flowers Indian Film Awards show on April 7th and April 8th 2018 at 7 PM.

Keerthana Podhuval -Actress | Mojitha in Bharya Serial on Asianet

Keerthana Podhuval (Keerthana Podwal or also known as Geerthana) is the new actress in Bharaya serial on Asianet playing the character in CI Mojitha's. She has replaced Aishwary Mithun Koroth in this role. Aishwary left the serial due to family reasons. She is expecting a baby and is going to take a break from entertainment industry.


Keerthana Podhuval-Biography :
Keerthana Podwal  a model and actress known for her work in Kannada and Telugu Movies. She has also acted in Tamil Television Serials. Keerthana made her acting debut in the Kannada film "Anju Manju Love Story" along with Dilip Pai, directed by AT Raveesh. Following this she has appeared in some well known films such as  Anju Manju Love Story, Madhura Swapna and Rudra IPS etc . She also acted with popular actors like Pradeep Benetto Ryan, Avinash, Raja and Naveen. Keerthana was noted for roles in films like "Siliconn City" along with Srinagar Kitty, Sadhu Kokila and Kavya Shetty. Actor Deepan Murali married Maya | Wedding Photos

Malayalam Television actor and anchor Deepan Murali married his lover Maya in a traditional wedding ceremony held at Vaikundam Wedding Hall in  Thiruvananthapuram on 27th April 2018. The wedding reception will be held on 28th April 2018 at DR Auditorium in Edapazhinji, Thiruvananthapuram.

Deepan Murali was engaged to Maya in June 2017, but he recently only shared the news in his facebook page  with tag "Love 💖 locked "!! We are engaged" . The love cum arrange marriage was scheduled to be held in December 2017 but was postponed due to unexpected death of his mother. The engagement ceremoney though was a simple function , it was attended by his collegues ARya rohit and Archange Sudheelan.

Maya is a bank employee, is the first cousin of actor Suraj Venjaramood's wife. Deepan and Maya have been  known to each other for years as we they were colleagues. Eventually they fell in love and decided to get married with the blessings of family from both sides.

He debuted his acting career through  the serial ‘Pariayam’ directed by A M Nazeer.  Deepan has also done a handful of character roles in malayalam films even though he made debut in film industry through  tamil film ‘Sooraiyadal’ directed by Kannan Thamarakulam. Deepan has anchored various shows including ‘Ugram Ujwalam’, a talent hunt show aired in Mazhavil Manorama. He also hosted many other TV program which featured small screen celebrities.

26th Kerala State Television Awards 2017- Winners List | Nilavum Nakshatrangalum best serial

The winners of the 26th Kerala State Television Awards 2017 were announced by Minister for Cultural Affairs A K Balan  at PR Chamber on 24th April 2018.  The award were decided by Kerala Chalachitra Academy by a Jury in feature and non-feature category. For the year 2017, Rakhunath Paleri, K Kunjikrishnan and A Chandrasekhar were the chairperson of the jury in on feature, non feature and article category, respectively.

Nilavum Nakshatrangalum aired on Amrita TV directed by G R Krishnan has bagged the Kerala State Television Award 2017 for the best tele-serial.  Madhupal won the award for best director for his serial  Kali Gandaki. Best actor were bagged by Krishnan Blalakrishnan for Kaali Gandaki . For  her role in the serial Neermathalam, actress Amala Gireeshan won the best actress award. Manjal Prasadam on Flowers TV won the second best serial award. Best second actress and actor for Gouri Krishnan and Vijay Menon, respectively for Nilavum Nakshatrangalum.

The  best music director for Kallara Gopan, best cameraman for Noushad Shereif, best scriptwriter for GR Indugopan, best art director for Ajith Krishna, best dubbing artiste (male) for S Radhakrishnan,  best dubbing artiste (female) for Parvathy S Pakash were the other winners.
