Kerala State Television Awards 2013 announced : Winners List

The Kerala Stare Televsion awards for 2013  by Kerala Chalachithra academy were announced by Minister for Cinema Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan on 21 April 2015.

The best teleserial award was won by Vaazhthappetta Mariam Thresia: Kudumbangalude Madhyastha directed by Sibi Yogyaveedan on Shalom TV  while  best telefilm award has gone to Makeup directed and produced by Nithuna Nevil Dinesh. Kuttipatturumal by Kairali TV won the award for the best TV show (Entertainment)

Actor Salimkumar won the best actor award for his role in the telefilm Parethante Paribhavangal on Jaihind TV while Sreekala bagged the best actor (female) award for her role in Makeup.

The telefilm Make Up also won 5 awards including for Best Director, Best Script Writer (both by Nithuna Nevil Dinesh), best actress (Sreekala), second best actor (Arun Krishnan), best cameraman (Jerry Simon and Jerry Kodunganoor).

Parethante Paribhavangal won awards for Music ( Madhu Paul), editing (Vishnuraj) and sound receording (V.P Krishnakumar)

Janam TV New Malayalam Channel Launched on 19 April 2015

Janam TV- a news cum entertainment Channel was launched on 19 April 2015 at Bristol Ground, Willingdon Island in Kochi, Kerala. The channel launching function was inaugurated by Art of Living founder Sri Sri Ravi Shankar . Union minister for Information and broadcasting Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore switched on the channel.

The first ever Mangalam Film Awards were declared on April 2015 First week.  Famous malayalam director/actor Balachandra Menon received life time achievement award. Mammootty won best actor Award for his performance in malayalam movie directed by Venu. Manju Warrier won best actress award for her performance as Nirupama in Roshan Andrews movie How Old Are You. Actress Jyothimayi married Director Amal Neerad

Malayalam Director/cinematographer Amal Neerad married actress Jyothirmayi in a private ceremony on 4 April 2015. The registered marriage took place at Amal Neerad's residence in Kochi in the presents of their parents,  close relatives and friends. This wedding news came as a surprise to many as both of us kept their private life away from the media.

Jyothirmayi began her career as a television anchor, model and serial actress and then in to film industry mainly by doing supporting roles. Her performance in Meesamadhavan made her popular actress of Malayalam cinema. She won Kerala State Film Award for Second Best Actress and National Film Award (Special Mention) for the movie Bhaavam (2002). She was also acted in Tamil movies and item numbers. 

Amala Neerad began his film career as a cinematographer at Ram Gopal Varma's production company for Bollywood films. Later he went on to produce and direct block buster films like Big B, Sagar Alias Jacky,Bachelor Party and Kullante Bharaya etc. His latest movie Iyobinte Pusthakam was one of the most noted movies of 2014. He was awarded National Award in 2001 for best cinematography for short feature section for the diploma film Meena Jha.

Actress Reshmi Soman married Gopinath | Wedding Photos

Famous malayalam film and Serial Actress Reshmi Soman married Gopinath at Guruvayoor Temple this week end(March 2015). The bridegroom Gopinath is working as the regional head of a company in Gulf.  This secret second  marriage was attended only by close relatives and friends. The actress haven't disclosed this news to any media. This news came to lime light through online media. It is an arranged marriage with the blessings of both of their families.

Actress Reshmi Soman married serial director A.M Nazeer in July 2001 in a secret registered marriage. Their love blossomed when Reshmi worked with A.M Nazeer's serial Bharya. Even after marriage Reshmi was very active in television serials. However  problems started in their life and they got divorced.  But they kept their private life away from media.

Reshmi started her film career in a very young age with Magrib directed by P.T Kunju Muhammad. It was followed by Ishtamaanu Nooruvattam and Ente swantham Janakikutty . However she switched her career from film to television as she found herself very comfortable with serials.Some of her popular serials are Hari, Thaali, Akshayapathram, Bharya, Swararagam, Sapatni, Akkarapacha and Makalude Amma etc

Following the break up with Nazeer she also acted in serials including Penmanasu. Later she took a three year hiatus from serials and completed postgraduation in Business Administration (MBA) with flying colors. Recently she hosted a cookery show (Super dish in Surya TV) and appeared in Mazhavil Manorama's TV programs -Onnum Onnum Moonnu and Ivide Ingane Yanu Bhai.
