2nd Anand TV Awards 2017-Winners List | Watch show on Asianet on 13th August 2017

Watch 2nd Anand TV Film Awards 2017 Telecast On Malayalam Channel Asianet – 13th August 2017 from 6.30 PM onwards.  2nd Anand TV Film Awards is the second edition of  European Malayalam film award  by Anand TV. The awards were distributed in a star studded and glittering function held  at O2, Appolo, Manchester, UK on 24th June 2017. Anand TV is an exclusive malayalam channel that was started by Asianet for it’s viewers in abroad countries allover the world

Actress Manju Warrier, Bhavana, Anusree, Aparna Balamurali,Mukesh, Suraj Venjarammodu, Innocent, Unni Mukundan .etc. participated in Anand TV Film award function. Artists and singers from Malayalam movie field inclusing   Suraj Venjaramoodu, Nobi, Dharmajan, Thesni Khan, M G Sreekumar, Sreya Jayadeep, Shan Rehman,Anusree , Aparna Balamurali etc entertained the viewers through comedy skits, singing and dance performances.

Actor Anil Kapoor was the chief guest of the award ceremony. He was honored at the show by Mukesh, Innocent, Nivin Pauly and Manju Warrier for his outstanding contributions to Indian Film Industry

The award for best film was won by  ‘Action Hero Biju'  while Vaishakh won the award for the best director for the movie ‘Pulimurugan'. Nivin Pauly won the best actor award for his role in ‘ Action Hero Biju & Jacobinte Swargarajyam’ and Manju Warrier for the best female actress for the film ‘ Vetta & Karikunnam Six’s . 64th Film fare Awards South 2017 -Telecast on Asianet on 6th August 2017 | Winners List

Malayalam Channel Asianet will telecast the 64th Film fare Awards South 2017 on August 6th, 05:30 pm Onwards. The awards show and star studded mega Event  were held on  on 17 June 2017 at Novotel and HICC Complex in Hyderabad to  honor the winners and nominees of the best of South Indian cinema in 2016.

The show was hosted by Allu Sirish, Vijay Deverakonda and Ragini Dwivedi. But in Malayalam version going to be shown on Asianet a malayalam anchor will be added for better entertainment. Artists and technicians received awards at the 64th Filmfare Awards 2017 South ceremony in various south Indian languages. The winners of Best Picture are Maheshinte Prathikaaram (Malayalam), Thithi (Kannada), Pelli Choopulu (Telugu) and Joker (Tamil)

Kirik Party (Kannada), Maheshinte Prathikaaram (Malayalam), Irudhi Suttru and Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada(Tamil), and Nannaku Prematho (Telugu) won most awards in respective languages.

Nivin Pauly and Nayanthara won best actor and actress awards respectively at the Filmfare awards 2017 for Malayalam Films. The winners list of Film Fare Awards 2017 in Malayalam are given below.

Winners of Tamil Nadu State Film Awards 2009-2014 | Best Film, Best Actor, Best Actress

The Tamil Nadu State government has announced film awards for six years staring from 2009 to 2014. The awards were decided by a Jury lead by former judge A. Raman . The awards are given in various categories including Best Movie, Best Director, Best Scriptwriter, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Villain, Best Comedian, Best Character Artist, Best Comedian, Best Villain, Best Child artist, Best Music director , Best Dialogue Writer etc.. The Tamil Nadu State Films Award were discontinued in 2008. But recent efforts by Actor Vishal, the  chairman of the producers council of the Tamil Cinema recently requested the government to reinstate the awards. State film awards is a great honour to film artists and technicians. The announcement came as a surprise

Kasaav (Marathi) by Sumitra Bhave & Sunil Sukthankar has been named the best feature film in the 64th National Film awards. Best Director Award by Rajesh Mapuskar for Ventilator(Marathi) Actor Akshay Kumar won best actor award for for ‘the Hindi film ‘Rustom’ and Surabhi Lakshmi for the Malayalam film ‘Minnaminungu–the Firefly’ bagged best actress award.

There are 30 categories in the feature films segment and 22 in the non-feature films one. In a newly introduced category, Uttar Pradesh was declared the most film-friendly State while Jharkhand earned special mentions.

64th National Film Awards : Winners from Malayalam Film Industry

Maheshinte Prathikaram won the award for the best feature film in Malayalam (Producer: Dream Mill Cinemas and Entertainment Pvt.Ltd.;Director: Dileesh Pothan). Shyam Pukshar bagged award for the Best Screenplay (Original):for Maheshinte Prathikaaram. He won the same award at the Kerala State Film Awards 2016   as well.

Malayalam actress Surabhi won the best actor award for Minnaminungu.  Adish Praveen got best child actor award for his performance in  Malyalam Film Kunju Daivam.  Mohan Lal won special jury award for best actor for his performance in Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol, Janatha Garrage and Pullimurugan

Jayadevan Chakka Dath got Best Audiography - Sound Designer award for the malayalam film Kaadu Pookkunna Neram. Peter Hein won BEST Action Direction (Stunt Choreography) Pulimurugam (Malayalam). He was honoured for the same at the 19th Asianet Film awards 2017

Surabhi Lakshmi wins Best Actress Award at the 64th National Film Awards 2016

Surabhi Lakshmi winner of  Best Actress Award at the 64th National Film Awards 2016: Surabhi Lakshmi bagged the Best Actress award for her film ‘Minnaminungu’ at the 64th National Film Awards 2016. The awards were decided by a Jury with popular director Priyadarshan as the jury chairman.She was the winner of special award for best actress in 47th Kerala State Film Awards  for 2017 for the same movie.

Even though she lost the best actress award at the State Film Awards to Rajisha Vijayan, she made it at the National Level. She has won Film Critics Award for Second Best Actress in this year. Surabhi Lekshmi is the daughter of Andy and Radha from Calicut. She is married to Vipin Sudhakar (Photos).

Surabhi Lakshmi -Best actress at National Film Awards 2017Surabhi Lekshmi  hails from Kozhikodu is a trained dancer and theatre artist.  She is very popular as the character Pathumma, wife of Moosa,  in Media One serial M80 Moosa. Her unique sound and dialogue delivery in Caliccut accent were noted by the audience soon. She won best Comedy Actor award for  her role in M80 Moosa at the Flowers TV comedy Awards 2016She has acted in more than 20 Malayalam Films, advertisements and Malyalam Serials. She portrayed a main character in   K.K. Rajeev's malayalam serial Kathayile Rajakumari.  Surabh is now part of  surya Tv Television show Laughing Villa season 1 & 2 and  Media One comedy show M80 Mooosa.


Minnaminungu-the firefly, is a movie directed by Anil Thomas and written by Manoj Ramsingh. The main cast include Krishnan Balakrishnan, Surabhi Lakshmi, Balu Narayanan, Prem Prakash, Suresh Prem,Rebecca Santhosh etc.

Jury Chairman Priyadarshan conveyed that Surabhi showcased brilliant performance which is why recognition came her way. According to the jury Surabhi won the best actress award for "Showcasing her brilliance in portraying pain and ecstasy of a mother in a deplorable social condition". She is the fifth actress to win National Award in Malayalam after Sarada, Monisha, Shobhana and Meera Jasmine. Meera Jasmine was the last Malayalam actress to win the best actress National Award in 2004 for her performance in Paadam Onnu: Oru Vilapam

47th Kerala State Film Awards 2016-Winners List | 'Manhole' Best Film, Vinayakan Best Actor, Rajeesh Vijayan Best Actress

Winners list of Kerala State Film Awards for 2016 films |Kerala State Film Awards announced in 2017 |47th Kerala State Film Awards 2016 : Winners of 47th Kerala State Film Awards 2016 is declared on March 7, 2016. Minister of state for cinema AK Balan announced the awards at a press conferencein Trivandrum. The  awards were selected based on a list of 68 Malayalam films selected by the Kerala State Chalachitra Academy. The 10 member jury will declared the awards in various categories based on 68 movies they have been have been watching five movies per day from February 21.

Jury : The winners were selected by 10-member jury headed by Odisha director A.K. Bir. The other jury members are directors Sundar Das,Priyanandan, Sudevan, yesteryear actress Shanthi Krishna,  PF Mathews, VT Murali, Arun Nambiar, Dr Meena T Pillai and Mahesh Panchu

Best Movie & Best Director : Manhole, directed by Vidhu Vincent won the awards for best film and best director award. This is the first time in the history of Malayalam cinema that a women director won these awards. Manhole is the first Malayalam film by a female director screened in the competition section of International Film Festival. Director Vidhu Vincent bagged two awards for her debut movie Manhole at the 21st International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK), 2016.
