Zee Malayalam- Television Channel Launching in April 2018

Zee Malayalam- New Television Channel from Zee Entertainment Enterprises (ZEEL) will be launched in April 2018, Vishu Season. Zee net work established in 1991 has completed more than 26 in entertainment industry

Zee Telugu, Zee Cinemalu, Zee Tamil, Zee Kannada are the South indian channels from ZEEL (Zee Entertainment Enterprise Ltd). Now they are entering the market for malayali viewers. ZEEL operates over 34 different television channels, cable company Siti Cable, record label Zee Music Company, a production company etc

The channel is already roped in Deepti Sivan as business head of Zee Malayalam Channel . She is a graduate in Law with M.B.A in Entrepreneurship and has immense experience – as Director, Producer, Production Designer, and Station Director of Radio Station to a Channel Head of Television.

Deepti was associated with Tripod Entertainment as Executive Producer, prior to joining Zee Malayalam, During her stint with Sun TV Network, Deepti was the Channel Head of Surya TV for 2 years and in Red FM she played the role of Regional Station Director for all station across Kerala for more than three years. Film Programmer for Hidden Gems International Film Festival at Calgary in Canada for more than year. Punit Goenka is the managing Director and CEO of ZEEL

Zee TV Malayalam has started purchasing Malayalam film rights and discussion going with serial directors to bring fresh content to Malayalam viewers . They have already bough satellite rights of Hey Jude, Aadu 2 and Diwanjimoola grand Prix  etc

Super Jodi on Surya TV-Contestants & Anchors | Show Launching on 18th February 2018

Surya TV, popular Malayalam channel is going to launching “Super Jodi” , a reality Show for couples. The promos project this show as the first Malayalam television reality couple show -the real-life couples will be seen together for the first time as participants on a program. The show will feature nine Malayalam television actresses and their real-life husbands on the show and they will participate in many fun filled ans artistic rounds rounds.


The first episode of Super Jodi  will be telecasted on  February 18th, 2018 at 9:00 PM. After the launch of the show, the episodes of Super Jodi will be aired every Sunday at 9:00 pm. Super Jodi would be the faceoff from the reel image to the real image of a star couple .The programme will have dance, skit and game round which will be fun frolic segments.

Famous cine artist Manikuttan will be hosting the show and prominent actress Swetha Menon is the celebrity judge. This the debut of actor Manikuttan as an anchor of a television show. He is known still through his debut serial Kayamkulam Kochunni, aired on the channel long ago.  Actress Shweta Menon will be the chief judge of the show and will be known as 'Super Judge' who will monitor the performances of the participants

Actor Harikumaran Thampy passed away

Malayalam film and Television actor Harikumaran Thampy(56 y) passed away on 13th February 2018 evening in Thiruvanadapuram, Kerala. He was under medical treatment for kidney related problems in medical college hospital.

Harikumaran Thampy is known mostly for roles with Comic shades. He acted in Malayalam Film Dala Markamarangal (2009) directed by Vijayakrishnan. He played the role of the character RajaSekharan Pillai in that movie

Actress Divya Unni's Second Marriage with Arun Kumar -Photos

Malayalam Actress and dancer Divya Unni married for the second time in Houston United states on 4th February 2018. She married Mumbai-based Malayali from Trivandrum Arun Kumar Manikandan in a simple wedding that took place in Guruvayoorappan Temple in Houston, USA.

Arun is working as an engineer in Houston for the past four years. The marriage news came as a surprise to many. Divya is presently running Sreepadam School of Arts in Houston, Texas, United States. She has been pursuing her passion for dance since she was three-years-old. She is trained in Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi and Mohiniyattam. She is recently seen in many interviews, dance shows and started pursuing her studies.

Divya married Dr Sudhir Sekhar in June 2002 and moved to USA. She ended her 14-year old marriage in 2016. Divya announced that she has separated from her husband and will be legally ending her 14-years-old marriage. She officially got divorced in August 2017. There were lot of speculations regarding the divorce.
