Sophia M Joe is the winner of Amrita TV Super Model Fashion Reality Show

Sophia M Joe  is the winner the Super Model Reality Show on Amrita Television.  Gayathri and Chitra won the second and third prize in the grand finale of Amrita TV's super model show.


Super model, a fashion reality and talent hunt show on Amrita TV was first of its kind in Malayalam  Television.  Through audition in Cochin and Kollam  last year 14 contestants in the age group 18 -26 yrs were selected. Out of which only six contestant were selected for the grand finale. The grand finale of the super model show was held on February 28, 2014 at 700 PM on Amrita TV.The shooting of the show was mainly done at Quilon Beach Hotel, Kollam

The anchor of the show was Parvathy Nair. She is an established actress and model.

The permanent judging panel consisted of Photography Judge Arshal Pattamby, Choreographer Arun Ratna, Host cum Judge Parvathy Nair and Make up Judge Joe Koratty.



The six finalists of the Amrita TV Super Model were Upannya,Sophia, Sruthy, Mareena,Gayathri and Chithra .

Sophia M Joe, the title winner of the super model contest is a hearing challenged young women. She is currently doing her under-graduation in English at Xavier’s College, Aluva. The 5 ft 8 in tall Sophia was the second runner up of Miss Malayalee Worldwide 2013 held in Kochi in December, 2013.

Madhushree Narayanan is the Winner of Super Star Junior 4 on Amrita TV

The grand finale of  Super Star Junior 4 on Amrita TV held on 2 February 2014 at Nilambur. This is the season 4 of Amrita TV's musical reality show for kids in the age group 10-15 yrs .

 Bharath, Bhagyalakshmi, Madhushree and Varsha were the finalists of the super star junior 4. Music director Deepak Dev, Singers Swetha Mohan and Sayanora were the judges of the grand finale of this music show. The grand finale was held in front of a huge audience in Nilambur, Malappuram.

Bhavya was the anchor of Super Star Junior 4.


MadhuShree Narayan is declared the winner of the Super Star Junior 4 following a tough competition.

2. Varsha -Second Prize- The first runner up received  Rs 7. lakh
3. Bharath -Third Prize- The second runner up received Rs 5 lakh

Madhushree Narayan  is the daughter of the famous musician  Ramesh Narayan. She is a student ( Std IX) of Christ Nagar English Higher Secondary School. She has an elder sister Madhuvanti Narayanan, who is also a singer.

Other contestant of the show were Arjun, Chaithra, Devika,Gauri, Govind, Godly, Greeshma, Krithikha,Parvathy Rickson and Swetha. They were eliminated in the previous rounds of the show.

Actress Archana Suseelan Married Manoj Yadav

Malayalam Television Serial Actress Archana Suseelan married her friend Manoj Yadav on 22 February 2014 in Delhi. The wedding ceremony was in North Indian Style, attended by close friends and family members. The wedding reception was arranged on 1 March 2014 for the friends from cine and television industry.

Satyamev Jayathe 2 to begin on 2 March 2014 on Asianet | Mohanlal as brand ambassador of Satyamev Jayathe

Malayalam Version of the talk show by Amir Khan ' Satymev Jayathe 2' will begin its telecasting on 2 March 2014, Sunday at 11 Am on Asianet.

The season 1 of the show created by Bollywood actor Amir Khan was aired in various channel like star plus, doordarshan and the malyalam version was available in Asianet. The show was directed by Satyajit Bhatkal.

Satyamev Jayathe season 1 in 2012  received overwhelming response both from public and critics. The show highlighted very sensitive issue like female foerticides, honor killings, sexual abuse of children, dowry etc.

The season 2 of the this chat show will be aired on Star Plus, STAR Pravah, STAR Vijay, Asianet, STAR Utsav, DD and ETV.

To increase the coverage and popularity of the program, Satyamev Jayathe team roped Malayalam superstar Mohanlal as  brand ambassador of the show in south India. Even though he will not participate in the talk show, he will be part of the promotions and will talk about the topics that is going to be covered in the season 2 of the show.

In a recent interview Mahanlal said that he is very happy to be part of the socially relevant show. He also added that the issues raised by satyamev jayathe is of national importance.
