Anand started his career in entertainment industry as a television anchor. But his true passion was in acting.  He got his first chance as an actor in Neelambari serial on Amrutha TV. Unfortunately, channel decided not to telecast it. He debuted as serial actor through  Asiant serial Kaana Kanmani. It was a turning point for him. He has already acted in many serials as hero and villain.  His recent works include the role of Nakulan, hero of  Ennu swanthan Jani Serial on Surya TV, as Vijay Krishnan, a character with negative shades in Flowers TV serial Arundathi , as Neel Mahesh, the male lead in Zee Karalam serial Swathi Nakshathram Chothi and Prakash Babu and as one of the four lead characters of the horror serial Unnimaya on Asianet.  

'Kudumbavilakku' on Asianet is  one of the top-rated serials of Malayalam TV, with as star cast. Actor Anand Narayan replaced Sreejith Vijay in the show.

Shaji Thilakan, son of late south Indian actor Thilakan, passed away in Kochi on Wednesday (11 March 2020) . He was 56. Shaji Thilakan was undergoing treatment for liver-related ailments at Amrita Hospital. He is survived by his wife Indira and daughter Abhirami S. Thilakan.

Actor Manoj Pillai Passed Away

Malayalam Actor Manoj Pillai(43) passed away in Thiruvananthapuram due to liver related diseases. His final rites will be on Friday 22, June 2018 at Sahntikavadam in Thiruvananthapuram. He is survived by his wife Sunitha.

Manoj Pillai was a native of Kundara in Kollam district in Kerala. He is known to Malayalam audience mostly through Malayalam Television Serials. He has also acted in numerous movies.

Manoj Pillai is mainly noted for his role as Murali Krishna Panikkar in  Manjurukum Kalam Serial on Mazhavil Manorama Channel. His roles in super hit serial like Amala ( Mazhavil Manorama),  Chandanamazha (Asianet), Soubhagyavathi etc were also noted and he became a familar face to Malayalam mini-screen audience. Actor Kalasala Babu passed away

Malayalam Actor Kalasala Babu -known for his roles in Malayalam Films, Television Serials and drama -passed away at the age of 68y on 13th May 2018 Night in Ernakulam. He was suffering from heart-related problems and was under treatment for the past three months. His health condition deteriorated after he reportedly suffered a stroke during an emergency surgery. He breathed his last on Sunday due to cerebral hemorrhage. He is survived by his wife Lalitha and children, Sreedevi who resides in the US and Viswanthan who resides in Ireland.

Kalasala Babu is the son of Kathakali maestro Kalamandalam Krishnan Nair and Kalamandalam Kalyanikutty Amma-renowned Mohiniyattam danseuse. He is active part of entetainement industry for more than 45 years. He debuted as a drama actor through plays ('Manishada' , Drishyanjali') mostly produced by Kalidasa Kala Kendram. He debuted as a film actor in 1977, in Inayethedi, the first venture of John Paul, George Kitho, Kaloor Dennis and Antony Eastman as hero of Silk Smitha, but the film was a flop. As he was not getting good response in films, he launched his own drama troupe called Kalasala in Tripunithura, which had artistes such as Thilakan and Surasu among others. This is how he got the name 'Kalasala Babu'.  The theater group was active for more than 10 years.

He started his television career through a telefilm 'Kala' made for Doordarshan in the year 1999. He essayed important roles in as many as 28 mega serials. Malayalam Television Actor Harun dies in an accident

Malayalam Actor Harun passed away following an accident. He is known to malayalam television viewers as 'Appunni' in Popular serial Manjurukum Kalam telecasted on Mazhavil Manorama.

Harun was an engineering student, in real life. who had immense passion towards acting. The 19-year-old young actor slipped in his washroom and suffered a severe head injury which led to his untimely death.

The sudden death of the upcoming actor came as a shock to everyone including members of Television industry. The sudden demise was shared by actor Manoj Kumar (Aka Manu Nair) in his facebook page(see below). Manoj Kumar played the role of the character Appunni's father, Vijayaraghavan in that serial.

Manjurukum Kaalam is a malayalam television serial telecasted on Mazhavil Manorama TV since 16 February 2015. The soap opera is written by Joycy and directed by Binu Vellathooval. The serial had many new actors. Monisha , Anish Rehman, Manu Nair ,Lavanya Nair, Manju Satheesh,Kishore Roslin etc. Harun played the teenage version of the character Appunni.

Actor Harikumaran Thampy passed away

Malayalam film and Television actor Harikumaran Thampy(56 y) passed away on 13th February 2018 evening in Thiruvanadapuram, Kerala. He was under medical treatment for kidney related problems in medical college hospital.

Harikumaran Thampy is known mostly for roles with Comic shades. He acted in Malayalam Film Dala Markamarangal (2009) directed by Vijayakrishnan. He played the role of the character RajaSekharan Pillai in that movie

Actor Sreejith Vijay known for his Malayalam movies is going to debut on malayalam television through Surya TV's malayalam Serial Avaril Oral. He will play the role of  male protagonist , Madhav Mohan, in this serial.The serial will be aired on the channel from December 18, from Monday to Saturday at 8 pm.

Sreejith started his career as a model and later became part of movies and television industry as an actor. He has also worked as a Radio Jockey in a Radio Station in UAE along with Meera Nandan during the period October 2014 to February 2016
