42nd Kerala Film Critics Award 2019 in Malayalam- winners list

The winners of 42nd Film Critics Award 2019 in Malayalam were announced.The Kerala Film Critics Association Awards are presented annually by the Kerala Film Critics Association to honour both artistic and technical excellence of professionals in the Malayalam language film industry of India

The films are selected by the members of the association for the movies released in 2018. A total of 33 films participated in this competition. The winner of the association awards for the best film will receive a cash award of Rs. 1 lakh, and the second best film, best director, best actor and best actress will be presented Rs. 25,000 each. The award is based on the decision by a jury.

Actress Sheela won life time achievement award. Oru Kuprasidha Payyan won Best Picture and Shaji N Karun Best Director (for Olu). Olu won many awards in differnt categories. Mohanlal bagged the Best Actor Award (for Odiyan) while the Best Actress award was shared by Nimisha Sajayan (for Oru Kuprasidha Payyan) and Anusree (for Aadhi, Aanakallan).The detailed list of winner of Film critics awards in 2018 are given below.

Another major attraction was the trailer launch of Lucifer Cinema, the first venture of Prithviraj, to be released on March 28. The trailer lounge was made by Asianet MD MD K Madhavan. Mohanlal, director Prithviraj, Manju Warrier, Tovino Thomas, Murali Gopi and Producer Antony Perumbavoor participated in the Louise Trailers Launch. The winners of Vanitha Film Awards 2019  were declared. The popular Cera Vanitha Film Awards powered by Josco Jewellers was announced  in  March 2018. The award event was held on March3, 2019 Britsto ground in Fort Kochi Kerala , Kerala

This is the 15th edition of Vanitha Film Awards.  Vanitha Film Awards are given in 25 categories including Life achievement award.  The movies released from january 1, 2018 to December 31  were considered for the award. The awards in various categories including , Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor and Actress  etc were decided based on the polls conducted by Vanitha and Malayalam Manorama . The winners in each category of awards were chosen by more than one lakh readers who filled in the nominations published in Malayala Manorama and Vanitha and voted through Manorama Online, Vanitha Online and special booths.

The award ceremony was attended by film personalities in India. Celebrities from Malayalam , Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and other south Indian languages will participate in the event. To add color and entertainment to the show there will be many dance, comdey and music performances by cine artists. Actress Asha Sharath and Rima Kallingal, Shruti Haasan, Kareena Kapoor, Aditi Rao, HAnsika Modwani and Sunny Leon gave dance performance to entertain the audience through their magical dance performances. In addition to this there will be song performance by Sudeep Kumar, Vijay Yesudas, Sana Moythutti & Govind Vasantha etc.

Lijo Jose Pellisseri's 'Ea. Ma. Yau.' won the award for the Best Movie. He also won best actor award. Odiyan won many awards. Mohanlal received best actor award for Odiyan while Manju warrier bagged best actress award. Balachandra Menon was honored with  life time achievement award

Winners list of Kerala State Film Awards for 2018 films |Kerala State Film Awards announced in 2019 |49th Kerala State Film Awards 2018 : Winners of 49th Kerala State Film Awards 2018 will be announced on February  278th, 2019 by  Minister of state for cinema AK Balan at a press conference in Trivandrum. The  awards were selected based on a list of 20 Malayalam films selected by the Kerala State Chalachitra Academy to the finale. The 10 member jury will declared the awards in various categories from 104 movies submitted for the award. Kerala State Film Award is to honour great artists and movies of the state

Jury : The winners were selected by 10-member jury headed by  headed by screenwriter-director Kumar Shahani. The other members of the jury were Sherry Govindan, George Joseph, K G Jayan, Mohandas, Vijayakrishnan, Biju Sukumaran, Berny-Ignatius and Navya Nair among others.

Best Film & Best Director: Kanthan – The Lover of Colour, directed by Shareef Easa, bagged the top honour of the Best Film award, while filmmaker Shyamaprasad took home Best Director award for his film Oru Njayarazhch . Movies Sudani from Nigeria and Carbon won many awards

 Best actor and actress :Actor Jayasurya, won the Best Actor award for his riveting performance for both Njan Marykutty and Captain. He shared the award with Soubin Shahir, who featured in lead role in Sudani from Nigeria. Nimisha Sajayan won the Best Actress award for her performance in Chola and Oru Kuprasidha Payyan.

Mazhavil Mango Music Awards were given in  many categories  including Best Song of the Year,Best Singer(Male),Best singer(Female), Best Lyricist, Best Music Director, Best dual Song, Best Song (non-films).

Mazhavil Mango Music Awards 2018 - Songs from Movies Poomaram and Mayanadi bagged  awards
Music director Arjun Mash and Singer S.P Balasubramanyam were honored in the event. He also performed during the function taking the audience to a magic world . Many Singers, music directors and actors including K. S Chithra, M.G Sreekumar, Mohanlal, Manju warrier, Vineeth Sreenisvasan, Rimi Tomy, Shan Rehman, Stephen Devassy  etc performed during the award function. Songs from Movie s K.S was selected as best singer in female category while Karthik was selected as the best singer. Rex Vijayan got best music director Award at the event. Many singers, music experts and celebrities were present during the event .

 The winners of the Mazhavil Mango Music Awards 2018 was decided by online and SMS votes received. The competition is for movies released during July 2017 and July 2018.
