Malayalam Serial Actor Sharath Kumar dies in a road accident

Malayalam Serial actor Sharath Kumar was killed in a bike accident at Mayilakkadu in Kottiyam of Kollam District. He was riding the bike, lost control near a turning in Mayilakkadu and came under a tipper lorry. He was died on the way to medical college hospital even though the lorry driver rushed him to hospital. The mishap occurred at 7.00am on 26 February 2015, while Sarath was heading to location at Sasthamkott Kollam for shooting.


The 23 year old actor is the son of Sasikumar and Ramani. He has a younger brother Sreekumar. He was a first-year BCom student of the Sabari College, was a budding actor who was noted for his performance various prime-time serials. His body was kept at the Poojappura Serial Artistes Association Hall for the people to pay last respects, was later cremated on his house premises at Parippally.

Sharath, entered into acting through Rajasenan’s Krishnakripasagaram. He became famous through the serial Autograph aired in Asianet. The villian role in  Five Fingers was very strong.  He also acted in Surya TV Serial - Sarayu, Mazhavil Manoram Serial-Pattusari and Asianet serial  Chandana Mazha. Lekshmi Nair is the daughter of Dr.N Narayanan Nair and Mrs Ponnamma. She is married to Adv. Ajay Krishann Nair. They have two kids (Parvathy Nair & Vishnu Nair). Both of her kids studied law and following the tradition of the family. Parvathy Nair recently (22 August 2014) married Dr. Aswin from UK. Lekshmi and her family is settled in Thiruvananthapuram.

Academic career

Lekshmi Nair also excelled on the academic front. She has completed B.A Degree in History from Government Women’s College, Thiruvananthapuram (2nd rand holder of Kerala University) and M.A. in History from S.V. University, Thirupathi. She did her LLB, LLM (first rand holder) and Phd from the Kerala Law Academy, University of Kerala. The topic for Ph.D research was “Legal Dimensions of Secularism”. she also published many research articles in Academy Law review. She Joined the Academy as Guest lecturer in History in 1988 and became Guest Lecturer in law in 1990 and became a full time permanent lecturer in 1994 and became Professor in 2007. She is currently holding the position of Principal of Kerala Law Academy in Thiruvananthapuram. She is also a member of the Kerala State Film Censor Board since 2005.

He has a brother, Abhilash.  Kishore is a graduate in commerce (Bcom). He married actress Charmila 1995 &is divorced on 1999. He later married Pooja from Kottarakkara in December 2007. They have a son, Niranjan. Kishore and his family is currently settled in Thriruvananthapuram.

The engagement of of Sharanya Sasi to Binu Xavier  was in April 2014 . Binu is a senior production associate of UTV in Cochin.

 Actress Saranya is a cancer survivor. The brain tumor was detected in August 2012  while she was acting for the Mazhavil Manorama Serial Malakhamar. She has undergone multiple surgeries in 2012 and with courage faced the followup treatment for Brain Tumor.  Now she is back to her acting career.

Rekha is the daughter of dubbing artist Ratheesh, originally from Thiruvananthapuram and Artist Radha Devi from Thodupuzha. Both of her parent passed away. In an interview given to a popular malayalam daily she revealed that she married four times. She was married to Yousaf in an young age (18 yrs). Following divorce she married Actor Nirmal Prakash (after this marriage Rekha was known Rekha Nirmal, Nirmal, died in 2010) and later married Kamal Roy. After the break up she married Abhilash.
