Roopa Sree (mentioned also as Roopa Shree or Roopa Sri) is an Indian Film and TV actress starred in Malayalam and Tamil movies and TV serials. She started her career as a film actress in Tamil and later in Malayalam Movies, mostly in 1990's.  Now she is popular as a TV actress. Roopa Shree won best actress award in character role for portraying the role of Oormila Devi in Chandanamazha serial in the Asianet Television Awards 2014

Career

Actress Roopa Sree was part of Malayalam and Tamil industry mostly in 1990's. Even though she acted as heroine in various movies all her films were not very successful. Later she acted in character and glamorous roles before taking a break from films.

She made her debut into malayalam movies through  Kallanum Policum (1992)  directed by noted film director IV Sasi. Later she appeared in Arabikkadaloram (1995) and Captain (1999).She is mostly refered as RoopaShree(old actress) in film databases as there are many actresses with the same.

Actress Roopa Shree started her career as a TV artist in 2002 though Tamil  television serials. She is currently acting in three tamil serials including Ambigai (Sun TV),Vani Rani (Sun TV),Deivam Thantha Veedu (Vijay TV)

She made her debut in Malayalam Television through the serial 'Chandana Mazha,' on Asianet. She got a break through in this Asianet serial as the character Urmila Devi of Desai Family. Her performance in the serial was much appreciated and made her very popular among malayali audiences.
