Pathinalam Ravu 5 on Malayalam Channel Mediaone TV is a  the season 5 of Mappilappattu Reality Show  Pathinalam Ravu. Five Candidates competed for the title, they are  Ajmal, Narmada, Theertha Suresh, Nikesh, Shamshad . Famous Singers  Adil Athu, Anitha Shaiq  the permanent judges of the show , Rehna, Faisal, Vidhu Parathap and Shan Rehman will honor the event. The winner received up to 10 Lakh Indian rupees as prizes.

Actress Bhavana gets engaged to Kannada Film Producer Naveen | Photos

Actress Bhavana's wedding engagement with Kannada Producer Naveen on March 8, 2017. The engagement ceremony was a private event attended by their close family members and friends. The engagement ceremony was held  at Bhavana's home in Thrissure, Kerala

The photos were shared on social media. Her friends Actress Manju Warrier and Samjuktha Varma were among the attendees of the function. In this ceremony their horoscopes were exchanged. This is an informal ceremony. A formal one is scheduled to be August or September . The news of Bhavava's marriage were circulating for a while. It is reported that Bhavana met Film producer Naveen during the shot of Romeo (2012). They were in love relationship for more than five years.  Bhavana''s marriage with Naveen was scheduled in 2014 but was delayed due in unexpected death of her father and his mother.

Manjurukum Kalam is one of the  most popular & top rated and longest running serial on Mazhavil Manorama. The number of episodes of this tele drama already crossed 560 episodes. This tele serial is based on a novel published in Malayalam weekly , the  Novel/serial Full Story is already known.  Manjurukum Kalam last episode will be aired on 24th March 2017.  The first episode of the serial was telecasted on 16 February 2015 at 8:00PM. The serial is produced by Prabha Unnithan, Asha Vivek Unnithan, Aneesh Unnithan.  Manjurukum Kalam narrates the journey of V.R Janaki (Janikutty), daughter of Govindankutty and Adopted daughter of  Vijayaraghavan and his wife Rathnamma. She lived the life of an orphan, but her strong will to succeed in life, favored her fate, eventually turning her into a successful women.

The title role of Janaki is done by many child actors. They are Kezia,Niranjana, Greeshma ,Vedhika ,Nikitha and Monisha.  Vineeth KP and Anish Rehman portrayed the role of  Abhijit, love of Janaki.   Manu Nair acted as Vijayarakhavan while Lavanya Nair/Manju Satheesh gave life to Rathnamma. Kishore played the role of Govindan kutty -father of Janikutty. The realistic portrayal of the story with a cast suitable for the characters made the serial a memorable one. The television version narrated the Joycee's novel in the best possible way. Manajurukum Kalam Serial ended with a happy climax. Janikutty get selection to civil service and her marriage to Abhijith is fixed. Rethnamma accepts her as her daughter. In the end scene every one from Krishnamangalam (Janikutty's mothers home), her step mother and family, her adopted parents Vijayan and Rethnamma, he uncle minister Madhosoodana Panikkar bless her wedding engagement with Abhijith, before her training as IAS officer. Thus, fate brings Janaki everyone in her life.  The serial , unlike other soap operas , focused on the success of virtue in the end.

47th Kerala State Film Awards 2016-Winners List | 'Manhole' Best Film, Vinayakan Best Actor, Rajeesh Vijayan Best Actress

Winners list of Kerala State Film Awards for 2016 films |Kerala State Film Awards announced in 2017 |47th Kerala State Film Awards 2016 : Winners of 47th Kerala State Film Awards 2016 is declared on March 7, 2016. Minister of state for cinema AK Balan announced the awards at a press conferencein Trivandrum. The  awards were selected based on a list of 68 Malayalam films selected by the Kerala State Chalachitra Academy. The 10 member jury will declared the awards in various categories based on 68 movies they have been have been watching five movies per day from February 21.

Jury : The winners were selected by 10-member jury headed by Odisha director A.K. Bir. The other jury members are directors Sundar Das,Priyanandan, Sudevan, yesteryear actress Shanthi Krishna,  PF Mathews, VT Murali, Arun Nambiar, Dr Meena T Pillai and Mahesh Panchu

Best Movie & Best Director : Manhole, directed by Vidhu Vincent won the awards for best film and best director award. This is the first time in the history of Malayalam cinema that a women director won these awards. Manhole is the first Malayalam film by a female director screened in the competition section of International Film Festival. Director Vidhu Vincent bagged two awards for her debut movie Manhole at the 21st International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK), 2016.
