Surya Movies Channel | Kiran TV re-branded as Surya Movies from 15th March 2017

Surya Movies- Malayalam Movie Channel : Kiran TV, 24h movie channel from Sun Network is re-branded as Surya Movies. The new channel was launched on 15th March 2017.

Surya Movies is a full time cinema channel now. In addition to this change, Surya TV HD was also launched on 15th March 2017. Sun Network is going for a full swing face change by adding new comedy channel also in to their network as Surya Comedy. Surya TV, Surya Music and Kochu TV are other Malayalam networks currently on Sun Network. They will soon add 24-hour news channel as Surya News. Surya Movies will continue to air Malayalam and Tamil Movies along with dubbed versions of Bollywood and Hollywood movies. Kiran TV became a 24x7 movie channel on July 14, 2013. Juhi Rustagi - Actress in Uppum Mulakum Serial / Lechu/Lachu/Lekshmi of Uppum Mulakuam : Juhi Rustagi is an upcoming actress known for her role as Lechu in  malyalam situational comedy Serial Uppum Mulakum on Malayalam Channel  Flowers TV.

Career
Juhi debuted as a malayalam television actress through Uppum Mulakum- Malayalam sitcom by R Unnikrishnan-director of  popular TV shows Thatteem Mutteem and Marimayam . 

In this comedy serial Juhi plays the role of  Lekshmi, elder daughter of Balachandran and Neelima.  Biju Sopanam plays the role of  Balu (Balachandran) and Nisha Sarang as Neelima (Neelu).  The role of Lekshmi's sibling are portrayed by  Rishi S Kumar  (as Vishnu /Mudiyan) , Shivani Menon (as Shivani/Shiva) and Al Sabith (as Kesavan/Keshu).

Juhi's character in this serial 'Lechu' represents a teenage girl having lazy, jealous, naughty, bullying nature, but at the same time very loving and caring.  The natural acting and effortless portrayal of  Lechu by Juhi, won her many fans among malayali audience.  Even though she has got enough opportunity to showcase her acting potential, she is not interested take new projects now as recently revealed in an interview to continue her studies. Following the success of Uppum Mulakum which reached more than 300 episodes, she became part of many  shows including  Comedy Super Nite and Sreekandan Nair Talk Show on Flowers TV


Personal Life and Family 
Juhi Rustagi hails from Ernakulam in Kerala. She is a half Malayali. Her mother is from Chottanikkara.  She has a brother and is doing his engineering studies.  She has completed her schooling from Bhavans Munshi Vidyashram, Thiruvankulam, Ernakulam. Due to busy shooting schedule she opted for open school system to finish her higher secondary studies in commerce. Juhi likes to continue her studies and has not committed any other project now. Juhi got opportunity to act in Uppum Mulakum when director R.Unnikrishnan spotted her among his daughter's classmates.

Mangalam TV -Malayalam News Channel launched

Mangalam TV- 24hour news channel from Mangalam group with its head quarters in Kottayam is launched on March 6th, 2017. This is the entry of Mangalam Publications into visual media space. The new television channel is inaugurated by Sri.Pinarayi Vijayan, Honorable Chief Minister of Kerala. Actor Mohanlal was also the chief guest of the function held at Taj Vivanta Hotel in Trivandrum.

Mangalam TV will face tough competition from Asianet News, Manorama News, Mathrubhumi News, Kaumudy, Media One, News18 Kerala, Kairali, People, Janam TV, 24hnews, reporter Tv etc. Now all news and publication groups has their own news channel. The news channel Mangalam TV is based in Thiruvananthapuram with bureaus in all the 14 districts besides metros in various parts of India. The Mangalam group of publications, was started its journey 1969 with Mangalam weekly. Mangalam daily, Bala mangalam, Kanyaka, Cinema Mangalam etc some of the print publications from them.

The new channel Mangalam TV signals can be catched using C band dish and mpeg4 set top box. The transponder frequency is 3876 with 14300 symbol rate, horizontal polarization and fec is 3/4. A mpeg4 dvbs2 set top box is needed to catch this new malayalam news channel.

Ammuvinte Amma - New Malayalam Serial starts on 27th March 2017 On Mazhavil Manorama

Ammuvinte Amma is an upociming malayalam television serial on Mazhavil Manorama Channel. The serial promos on channel and social media suggest a story of mothers love  and sufferings. The promos features a mother and her daughters.

The new  serial will be launched on 27th March 2017. The first episode on Ammuvinte Amma will be telecasted on Monday 27th March 2017 at 7:30 PM. The weekday episodes will be aired every Monday to Friday at 7:00 PM. The story is roughly based on Malayalam movie Oppol
