Vijayadashami -New Serial on Surya TV starts on December 5th, 2016.

Vijayadashami is a new Malayalam horror serial on Surya TV. The new thriller series will be launched on December 5, 2016 at 7:30. The new teleserial will be aired every Monday to Friday at 7:30. The new show will replace Amme Mahamaye, a devotional serial recently stopped on Surya TV. 

This new malayalam TV serial is directed by Shankar Valathungal. Actress Shabana is playing the title role of Vijayasadami in this show. Other popular actors in this series include Arun, Kumarakom Raghunath, Kailasanath and Vijayakumari. The detailed list of cast, crew, actor and actress details will be updated soon. Surya Tv is currently airing Sithara,Vaalsalyam,Mahaveera Hanuman,Sagaram Sakshi,Vijaya Dashami, Sahayathrika ,Moonnu Pennungal,Nagakanyaka,Ennu Swantham Jaani and Kadhakalkkappuram every week days. Naagakanyaka, dubbed version of hindi hit serial Naagin is the most popular serial serial on Surya Tv according to BARC ratings

Flowers TV also recently launched a new serial Manjal Prasadam with similar story line. Singer Gayathri Ashokan married Musician Purbayan Chatterjee | Wedding Photos

Malayalam Singer Gayathri Ashokan married noted Sitar player and composer Purbayan Chatterjee in a traditional Kerala wedding held at Paramekkavu Temple in Thrissur on December 4, 2016.

Gayathri is trained classical singer and playback singer. She has debuted as a playback for the movie Arayannangalude Veedu for Deena dayalo Rama. She won Kerala state film award for best playback singer in 2003.  Purbayan Chatterjee hails from Kolkata is also a trained classical singer and composer. He is known for his experiments in fusing Indian classical music with contemporary world music.  He is the winner of Presidents of award for being the Best Instrumentalist at an young age(15 years). Both Gayathri and Purbayan were friends for a long time.

The wedding of Gayathri and Purbayan was a close knit function attended by close friends and relatives. Photos of the wedding were shared by their collegues Jyotsna, Duraga Jasraj and many other through their facebook and twitter accounts.

Gayatri Asokan is the daughter of Dr. P. U. Asokan and Dr. K. S. Sunidhy.Gayathri . She was married to Dr.Sayij on 4 Jan 2005, but they later divorced. Garaythi is also a devotee of Ravi Shankar and active participant in Art of Living's Satsangs across the world.

Purbayan Chatterjee hails from Kolatha is the son of Mr and Mrs Parthapratim Chatterjee. He learned sitar from his father even at an young age.

Winners List of 2nd Asianet Comedy Awards 2016

Winners of 2nd Asianet comedy Awards 2016 were announced on 17 November 2016 in a glittering star studded event at Adlux International Convention & Exhibition Centre, Karukutty, Angamaly, Kochi, India.

The show honored comedy talents from television and film fields. Comedy skits and dance by television and film starts added color to the show. Mammootty, Dileep, Jayaram were the special guests and they distributed the awards. Megna Vincent, Archana Susheelan, Sonu Satheesh kumar, Arya Rohit etc among the TV starts who preformed dance  the show while Jagadhish, Suraj Venjaramood, Ramesh Pisharody, Dharmajan, Mamukoya and Beena Antony entertained the guest with comedy shows
