Pooja Sharma popular TV actress is playing the role of Goddess Mahakali/ Sree Bhadrakali and Parvathi in Sree Bhadrakali Serial on Surya TV. It is reported that Pooja was unsure if she would fit in as Mahakali, and had even communicated her apprehensions to the production team. Finally, the producer and team was able to convince her. The story line of Sree Bhadrakali serial is based on the stories and anecdotes taken from the Devi Bhagwatam Purana, Devi Mahatmyam and Kalika Purana. Pooja Sharma already established herself model and actor. Pooja was born on 12 July 1989 in Delhi, India. She did her graduation (B.Com.) from University of Delhi, New Delhi. She was always interested in acting and performing arts more than modeling. During her college days, she was selected for a sports-based talk show in Doordarshan India. So,after completing her studies, she started working as a model and walked the ramp during various events. She also hosted some famous shows that aired on DD National and on Zoom. In 2006, Pooja sharma participated in the Femina Miss India 2006 and was among the top 10 finalists.
Pooja debuted as a TV actress in 2012 with the TV serial Teri Meri Love Stories as Sia Bhel. After that show, she got a lead role of Draupadi in the mythological TV serial Mahabharat (2014) which became the biggest turning point in her career. She also made special appearance in some TV serials like Ajab Gajab Ghar Jamai (2014) and Dosti Yaariyan Manmarziyan(2015).
In 2017, she started acting as Mahakali in Mahakali– Anth hi Aarambh hai. For her performance in Mahabharat serial she won Star Parivaar Awards in the category of Pahel Nayi Soch Ki.
