Dr Ram is a new Malayalam serial launching on 16th July 2018 on Malayalam GEC Mazhavil Manorama. The serial will be aired every Monday to Friday at 7:00 PM. Pranayini is currently being aired on this schedule and it will be replaced by Dr Ram Serial.
Dr Ram serial handles one of the rare theme aired on Malayalam Television screen. This serial deals with about the hospital, doctor and medical professionals and how they deal with difficult medical situations they face in day to day basis. Only a very few serials including Shamnathalam- Malayalam serial by by Shayamaprasad, Hindi serials like life line, Sanjevani and Ayushamanbhava etc are among the medical serials aired on Indian TV.
The promos of the serial suggest an over dramatized version of Dr House, House MD, an American medical television drama. Dr Rama shows how a group of medical professional deals with the health issues of patients while they are themselves struggling with their personal issues.
