Sarayu is a Malayalam Serial on Surya TV, directed by Baiju Devaraj. The first episode of the serial was telecasted on 13-May 2013. The serial is based on a novel. The title of the story is also the name of the heroine –SARAYU. The serial will be telecasted every Monday to Friday at 700 PM.

Actress Saritha Against Actor Mukesh and his second marriage

Actress Saritha, former wife of Actor Mukesh has come up with some starling allegations following Mukesh's marriage to dancer Methil Devika. According to a press release issued by Saritha, who is currently residing in Dubai, Mukesh has not legally divorced her and hence can't remarry.

“I am in Dubai along with my son Shravan Mukesh who is pursuing medicine course here. Myself and actor Mukesh Madhavan got married on 02.09.1988 in Kerala. But it came as a rude shock to me when I came to know from the press and media news that my husband has illegally married Methil Devika day before yesterday in Kerala.  Without getting our marriage legally dissolved, my husband has married the said Methil,” says Saritha.

 Mukesh and Saritha got married on September 2, 1988.“After marriage, Mukesh did not allow me to act even in decent effective roles in movies due to which I lost many good opportunities. Also Mukesh treated me with cruelty and caused enormous physical and mental agony by his indecent and irresponsible behaviour and was also an alcoholic,” she accuses."This had an adverse impact on our children and thus in 2007 I applied for divorce under Section 13(1) and 13(1-a) of the Hindu Marriage Act before the family court at Chennai seeking dissolution of our marriage and for alimony," Saritha says.

 Though Mukesh initially refused to dissolve the marriage, he later decided to move court seeking divorce. A divorce petition on mutual consent was filed before the family court in Chennai in 2009. Saritha alleged that the case couldn't be disposed of as Mukesh failed to turn up even once. Later, due to his consistent absence, the divorce petition was withdrawn by Saritha in 2010. The actress lives in Dubai with her older son, Shravan Mukesh, 24, who is doing his medicine there. The couple who were married in Kerala in 1988, have another son, Tejas Mukesh, 20.

 But Mukesh’s family clarified that all the allegations that Saritha had made is fake and they have the legal divorce paper from Madras High Court with them.

Famous malayalam actor Mukesh married accomplished classical dancer Methil Devika in a private ceremony at Mukesh house in Maradu on October 24, 2013. The simple ceremony was attended by his family members and close relatives. The marriage was registered at Maradu Registrar office and poojas were conducted at Thripunithara Puthiyakavu Temple.

Mukesh's nephew and actor Divyadarshan  informed that the couple has just registered their marriage and will enter wedlock in a traditional Hindu ceremony to be held in March. "The news about Maman's (Mukesh) register marriage somehow got leaked. The couple decided to register their marriage on October 24 as that was an auspicious day according to astrologers. However, they will tie the knot in a separate ceremony in March, and the date will be officially announced soon," says Divyadarshan.


This is second marriage of Actor Mukesh. He married actress Saritha in 1989 but got divorced in 2009. They have two sons.

Methil Devika is a famous classical dancer.She is the recipient of Devadasi National Award, Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar for Mohiniyattom from Kendra Sangeet Natak Akademy and Kerala Sangeeta Nataka Akademi award.

She was born and brought up in Dubai, belong to Methil family in Palakkadu. She is the younger daughter of Rajagopalan Nair and Rajashri. As her father was an engineer is Kuwait, Devika spent most her childhood out side Kerala.  She has Masters Degree in Business Administration (Gold Medalist), Madras University, Tamil Nadu, 1998 and Masters Degree in Fine Arts (Gold Medalist-Kuchipudi), Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata, 2000. She submitted  her doctoral Thesis in 2013 to Bharathidasan University. A native of Palakkad, Ms. Devika is a disciple of S. Natarajan, Vempatty Chinnasatyam, Satyapriya Ramana, Chirala Krishna and Girija Chandran. She dances Kuchipudi and Mohiniyattom. She was in the judging panel of Amrita TV's Lasyam Program. She has done a choreography of the movie Karmayogi.



This is Devika's second marriage . She was married to Rajeev Nair from Palakkad and got divorced. She has a seven year old son in her first marriage (click for more photos of Devika & son Devaang) .


 Methil Devika is currently working as a lecturer of Kerala Kalamandalam and is the artistic director of Palakkad-based Sripada Natya Kalari. It is believed that the relationship of  Mukesh and Devika began years earlier when both of them were working together for Kerala Sangeetha Nataka (Music & Drama) Academy, where Mukesh was the chairman and Devika was a member.The dancer had informed during an interview with a publication that the two have known each other for over a year, and since there was pressure from her family to tie the knot, they decided to take the plunge.

Chandralekha-A unique Journey From Youtube Sensation to Playback Singer

Chandralekha, a young housewife from Pathanamthitta who attained celebrity status after her amateur music video went viral on YouTube and Facebook, receives playback singing offers from leading music directors of Malayalam film industry. Young music directors Bijibal, Ratheesh Vegha and Rony Raphel who took notice of Chandralekha's talent when People TV reported the story of her viral video, expressed their desire to experiment with her matchless voice in their upcoming albums.


Born in a poor family from Pathanamthitta Chandralekha sings from her dilapidated kitchen. The song was recorded from a mobile phone by her husband's nephew a year back and posted on youtube. Although the response to the song was not much, after a year it created a sensation.

Rima Kallingal and Aashiq Abu Marriage on 1 November 2013

Malayalam Movie director Ashiq Abu has confirmed that he and film actress Rima Kallingal will get married on November first week. 

The date and venue is not yet finalized. It was reported that they were in a living-in relation ship and was waiting for the approval from the parents.

 "A lot was being said about us and some even said that our marriage is over. But the fact of the matter is that our marriage is going to happen next month. In fact, it will take place in the first week of next month," Ashiq Abu  told a TV channel. 

They fall in love when they were working together for the movie '22 female Kottayam' . Rima Kallingal won the best actress award for the movie in Kerala State Film Awards. 

Idukki Gold is the new movie by Aashiq Abu and   Zachariayude Garbhinikal is the New Movie with Rima Kallingal.
