Aashiq Abu married Rima Kallingal -Wedding Photos and Video

Malayalam Film actress Rima Kallingal married director Aashiq Abu in a simple ceremony at Kakkanad Sub-Registrar office on November 1, 2013. It was attended by close relatives and friends.

A day before their marriage, they donated Rs. 1 million to a hospital for the treatment of poor patients. The two had then said that they did not want any gala wedding celebrations and instead used the money for charity.


Rima Kallingal had entered film industry with Shyamaprasad movie "Ritu" in 2009. She won kerala state best actress award for Aashiq Abu movie "22 Female Kottayam"

After working as an assistant with director Kamal for a few years, Abu became a full-fledged director in 2009 with Mammootty-starrer "Daddy Cool". Since then he has had a successful career with hits like "Salt N Pepper" and "22 Female Kottayam" and recently 'Idukki gold".

Kerala State television awards for 2012 were distributed

The State television awards 2013 for various categories in 2012 were distributed.


Mukundan, who acted in Sandhya Ragam, is the best male actor and Prem Prakash is the second best actor for his role in the same serial.

 Ananya, won the award for the best female actor for Doore broadcast on Mazhavil Manorama. Its sound recordist Ebby has been adjudged the best in that category. Rani Sharan is the second best female actor for her performance in Lorry Girl .

The telefilm Mazhayodoppam Mayunnathu, a censored programme written and directed by Manilal, has won the award in the category of films above 20 minutes. Manilal has won the award for the best director in the same category.

Sandhya Ragam , aired on Amrita TV and directed by Sivamohan Thampi, won the award for the second best serial in the feature category.

Frog, written and directed by Sanalkumar Sasidharan and telecast on Kairali People, won the award the best telefilm in the category of those below 20 minutes and Rithul Sreekumar, who acted in it, won the special jury award.

 Ningal Aranaye Kando , a censored programme directed by Sunanda Bhatt, has won the best documentary (general) award.

T.R. Ratheesh of Indiavision is the best news cameraman, for the programme School .

 Deepa V.M. won the award for the best interviewer for the current affairs programme, Green Report , telecast on Indivision.

 Arun Sankar’s programme Kozhikode Medical College Operation telecast on Indiavision, won him the award for the best investigative journalist

Oru Kuruvi Nammodu Enthu Parayananu , directed by Pradeep M. Nair, and aired on Asianet News, is the best documentary in the science and environment category.

Kanayiyude Kala , a censored programme directed by Nemom Pushparaj, won the award for the best documentary in the biography category. The award for best documentary on women and children went to Akalangalile India dircted by Akhila Premachandran and aired on Asianet.

 Out of Syllabus, directed by S. Jayalekshmi for ViCTERS channel, is the best education programme. Walter D’ Cruz, who directed Pattam Parathunna Penkutty , won the award for the best documentary director.

A. Chandrasekhar’s article Paramparakalkethire Peedana Case Edukkanam won the award for the best article on television.

Actor Mukesh claimes his second marriage is legal

Following the registered marriage of Actor Mukesh to Methil Devika, controversies developed when his Ex-wife and actress Saritha claimed that their marriage is not yet over and blamed Mukesh for bigamy. According to Saritha, though she has been living separately for long and agreed for a mutual divorce with Mukesh, the marriage with Devika stands illegal as Mukesh didn't appear for any court hearings and the petition for divorce was withdrawn in 2010.

Mukesh on the other hand, maintains that they were living separately since 1996 and were granted divorce in Jan 2012 from family court in Ernakulam. Mukesh says that he have applied for his second marriage only after one and a half years since the divorce. Even though the marriage of Mukesh and Methil Devika is registered the official marriage ceremony with hindu customs will be held on 24 March 2014.

Kavya Madhavan Denies Marriage Rumours

For the last few days the hot news in social media is that Kavya Madhavan is going to marry soon. Kavya Madhavan is upset over the rumour and denied all the reports in facebook and requested her friends to refrain from this gossip.

Kavya married Nishal Chandra in 2009 and later divorced due to difference of opinion.Right now, she is busy with her BCom examination and her brothers marriage. That is is the reason why she is not taking up many offers from Cinema.
