Shirin Fatima is the winner of Kasavu Thattam -Amrita TV

Kasavu Thattam, Amrita TV’s Mappilapattu special music reality programme, that explored the domain of Muslim folksong genre of Northern Malabar . The 3 hour long Mappila music fest interweaving different tunes in the distinctive Arabic- Malayalam dialect with celebrity dance and song performances will be telecast on January 17th at 11pm, 2013.

Singer Ranjini Jose married Ram Nair

Actress, Playback Singer - 'Ranjini Jose' got married with her fiancé - 'Ram Nair' on January 27.

Singer and actress Ranjini Jose and Ram Nair opted for a traditional Hindu wedding at a popular resort on the outskirts of the city.  It was a private affair attended by family members and a few close friends of the couple.

'Ranjini Jose' and 'Ram Nair' were in relationship for a long time. 'Ram Nair' an engineering graduate, is also a product of 'SAE Institute' where he did his Sound Engineering. 'Ram' is a DJ (Disco Jockey), commonly known under the name 'DJRam'.

'Ranjini Jose' who is currently anchoring Mazhavil Manorama's - 'Josco - Indian Voice Season 2' is getting popular amongst the audience. 'Ranjini' made her acting debut in Director - Shaji Kailas's - Mohanlal starrer - 'Red Chillies', grabbed the attention of the audience right from the start. 'Ranjini' has given voice for hundred's of songs in various languages in her career graph.


 Singer Yesudas and wife were present at the do. We also spotted anchor and actress Ranjini Haridas, a close friend of the bride, singer Chitra Iyer, music director Sharreth as well as actresses Kavya Madhavan and Poojitha Menon at the function.

Veruthe Oru Bharya is the popular show on Mazhavil Manorama TV for finding the best couple. In the season 2 of Veruthe oru bharya Sam and his wife Viji won the title.

Idea Star Singer fame (Season 5 runner up) Mridula Warrier married Arun B Warrier, a Doctor(Ayurveda) on January 7, 2013. Arun is a native of Karaparambu in Calicut and the son of Balachandra Warrier and Vasantha Warrier. Mridula has completed Btech in Electronics Engineering.

Mamta Mohandas to divorce husband Prajith Padmanabhan

South Indian actress and playback singer Mamta Mohandas got married to her family friend Pregith Padmnabhan on December 28, 2011. He is a business man in Bahrain. But the couple has decided to divorce.Mamtha Mohandas revealed the divorce news to a national news paper.

The couple, who was engaged on November 11, tied the knot on December 28, 2011, in Kozhikode. Her decision to get a divorce has come as a big shock for many in the industry. The actress announced today that the legal proceedings will start soon.

The multi talented Actress Mamatha Mohandas was engaged to Pregith Padmanabhan on 11.11.11, the special day is going to divorce on 12.12.12 (today).

"We are two different types of people and cannot journey together long any more. From last few months, we started living separately. We all try to mend some things for leading a happy life. I am trying to be happy at least with work. When my personal life was draining out all my energies, work kept me busy offering solace.

Mamta Mohandas also said that she will continue to focus on her career. She is currently busy with a number of films, and also has a music album lined up for release.

I was hastily rushed into marriage before understanding each other. I had no other options than going for divorce. I will not reveal the details as why my marriage did not work. This is not easy for anyone, especially my family. But, they believe in my choice. I am grateful to parents and my friends for standing besides me," Mamata Mohandas made 12.12.12 a sad memory in her life.

For the actress, it’s a big decision. Mamta Mohandas says she has no  other choice than to part ways with her husband Pregith Padmanabhan. “Pregith and I have decided to divorce. And we have decided to move on with our individual lives. We have realised that we cannot sail on the same boat,” says the actress.

Till now Mamta has acted in over 30 films and is now doing Malayalam movies opposite actors like Mohanlal, Prithviraj and Indrajith

Ambika was the winner many music competition  in Carnatic music competition in the All Kerala Bhavan’s Youth Festival for many years. She was also adjudged winner in Carnatic Music in the M. G.
