Oru Chempaneer Poovu Pole to felicitate Unni Menon's 33 Musical Years: Telecast on Asianet

“Oru Chempaneer Poovu Pole”, is a function organised by Swaralaya to honour and celebrate the 33 years of singer Unni Menon’s career, at Indira Gandhi Municipal Stadium in Palakkadu, Kerala, on September 27 and 28, 2014. Two day cultural event was attended by many celebrities from the music and movie industry. During the function an audio CD comprising songs from Aval Vannathinusesham , the latest film for which Unni Menon sang, was also released

Malayalam Channel Asianet is going to telecast this event soon on Asianet and Asianet Middle East. We will soon update the date and time of the telecast.

The term 'Oru Chempaneer Poovu Pole' came from the lyrics of the song  'Oru chempaneer pooviruthu ' from the malayalam movie  Sthithi ( 2003 ), composed by Unni Menon. He also acted in that movie.

Singer Unni Menon has sung 3,000 songs in all south Indian languages (Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada) in three decades. He owes his success and accomplishments in film music to the Tamil tinsel world. He won two state awards for best playback singer(2002 and 1996) in the Tamil Nadu State Film Awards.

He got a break in in his musical career when he sang the song "Pudhu Vellai Mazhai" from Mani Ratnam's a Tamil film Roja (1992), composed by famous music director A. R. Rahman
Congratulation on his success and best wishes from Vinodadarshan
