Actress Amala Paul got married AL Vijay on June 12, 2014 in a traditional hindu Chettiar ceremony held in Chennai. Amala was dressed in a red Kanjivaram sari while Vijay was draped in a sparkling white dhoti and shirt.

After the traditional wedding ceremony attended mainly by family and close friends, Actress Amala Paul and Vijya hosted a grand wedding reception at Mayor Ramanathan Chettiar Hall in Chennai. The wedding reception was graced by the celebrities from the film industry. Amala was sparkling in a golden dress by designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee. The jewellery was from Amrapali and Joy alukas.

Vijay and Amala fell in love on the sets of Vijay direceted Tamil Movie 'Deiva Thirumgal'.
Earlier this year they have announced
their marriage plans to the media. They got engaged on June 7, 2014 near Aluva in Kerala as per Christian traditions.

Following the engagement and prayer at the church, a colorful sangeet ceremony was arranged in the evening of July 7, 2014 at CIAL Convention Centre, Nedumbassery, Kochi. Designers Anita Dongre and Himangi created the engagement gown and leghenga for Sangeet for Actress Amala Paul.
