Idea Star Singer Fame Nikhil Sivakumar and Ambika Gopalakrishnan got married in October 2012. Both of them were participants of Idea Star Singer 6. Their engagement was on June 7, 2012.

Nikhil Sivakumar from Bangalore is a graduate in engineering and works in IT related field.

Ambika Gopalakrishnan is from Ernakulam .She has completed her M.Sc. in Marine Biology from Cochin University of Science and Technology. Ambika is the daughter of Indu Gopalakrishnan and K. Gopalakrishnan. Her sister Lakshmi Gopalakrishnan is a Chartered Accountant.

Ambika was the winner many music competition  in Carnatic music competition in the All Kerala Bhavan’s Youth Festival for many years. She was also adjudged winner in Carnatic Music in the M. G. Idea star singer 2008 (Season 2) winner Vivekanandan (Son of Sri Vijayakumar and Sreelatha) married Parvathy (BTech, daughter of late Sri.Muralidharan and Sri Lalitha) on June 11, 2011 at TDM Hall, Kochi , Ernakulam.

Vivekanandan was the winner in the male singer category and won a flat worth 1 crore as prize in the idea star singer 2008 show of Asianet. He was noted for his ability in both vocal and instrumental (violin) music. He has participated in many TV programs and Show following Idea Star Singer Show.

Idea Star Singer 2007 Winner

Najim Arshad won the prestigious Idea Star Singer 2007 in a grand style held at the chandrasekharan Nair Stadium in Trivandrum , Kerala.

The singer won a fabulous prize worth rupees 40 lakhs (a flat by confident Group). The contestant bagged the maximum SMS (1,87,000 ) and won the maximum marks by the Judges in the final. It was announced by the legendary Dr. Balamuralikrishna.


No doubt, he was the most deserving candidate for this title. Somehow the rumour spread early in the year became the truth. Durga Viswanath, Thushar Muralikrishna and Arun Gopan won the second, third and fourth places, respectively.
