Malayalam Singer Gayathri Ashokan married noted Sitar player and composer Purbayan Chatterjee in a traditional Kerala wedding held at Paramekkavu Temple in Thrissur on December 4, 2016.

Gayathri is trained classical singer and playback singer. She has debuted as a playback for the movie Arayannangalude Veedu for Deena dayalo Rama. She won Kerala state film award for best playback singer in 2003.  Purbayan Chatterjee hails from Kolkata is also a trained classical singer and composer. He is known for his experiments in fusing Indian classical music with contemporary world music.  He is the winner of Presidents of award for being the Best Instrumentalist at an young age(15 years). Both Gayathri and Purbayan were friends for a long time.

The wedding of Gayathri and Purbayan was a close knit function attended by close friends and relatives. Photos of the wedding were shared by their collegues Jyotsna, Duraga Jasraj and many other through their facebook and twitter accounts.

Gayatri Asokan is the daughter of Dr. P. U. Asokan and Dr. K. S. Sunidhy.Gayathri . She was married to Dr.Sayij on 4 Jan 2005, but they later divorced. Garaythi is also a devotee of Ravi Shankar and active participant in Art of Living's Satsangs across the world.

Purbayan Chatterjee hails from Kolatha is the son of Mr and Mrs Parthapratim Chatterjee. He learned sitar from his father even at an young age.

Dileep married Kavya Madhavan | Wedding photos

Actor Dileep married actress Kavya Madhavan in Kochi on 25th November 2016 on Friday around 9.45 Am.  The function was held on the seventh floor of Hotel PGS Vedanta at Kaloor. The simple wedding ceremony was mainly attended by close friends and relatives.  The couple were dressed in traditional Kerala style and the ceremony was broadcasted live.It was also a star studded event with many celebrities including actors Mammootty, Salim Kumar, Jayaram, Janardhanan, KPAC Lalitha, Kaviyoor Ponnamma, Meera Jasmine, Jomol and Chippy, directors Kamal, Joshiy and Siddique, and producers Suresh Kumar, Renjith etc., attending the function.

This is the second marriage for both. The wedding was held with the blessings from their family members from both sides.  Dileep spoke to the media after the wedding as  "We seek blessings of all of you. The problems in my life were not because of  Kavya . She acted with  me in more than 20 films. When I thought about second marriage, I thought I will marry my friend, who unfortunately became the scapegoat through gossips. I spoke to my daughter, mother and brother and they all extended their support. The three of us, Kavya, Meenakshi and me, want to have a happy and peaceful life with my mother," he said. Dileep's daughter was also present she said " It was I who I forced them to marry and the wedding took place with my support”.

Dileep married actress Manju Warrier on 20 October 1998 at Aluva Sri Krishna Temple and quit her career to became a housewife. The couple have a daughter, Meenakshi. Dileep and Manju divorced in January 2015. There were rumours that since then that  Kavya is the reason for their divorce and the this is fueled a revelation by column writer Pallissery in Mangalam Varika on the love affair of Kavya and Dileep. But both Kavya and Dileep keep on denying marriage rumours and said they are only friends. However in a recent interview given in Vanitha magazine he said that he may remarry if his daughter Meenakshi approves it.  Anyway, all these rumors became true. Malayalam actress Sarayu married associate director Sanal V Devan on Saturday 12th, 2016. The traditional wedding ceremony took place in Jawaharlal Convention Centre in Thrissur. Actress Sarayu and Sanal got engaged early this year , on April 4, 2016 at Thripunithara in Ernakulam District of Kerala.

Actress Priyamani gets engaged to Mustafa Raj | Photos

Actress Priyamani got engaged to  boyfriend Mustufa Raj on Friday, May 27, 2016. The engagement function was a private event attended by their close family members and friends. The engagement ceremony was held  at Priyamani's residence in Banashankari, Bengaluru.

Mustafa Raj is a  mumbai based busnessman. It was reported that the couple met during Indian Premiere League (IPL) a few years ago. Since then they are friends and eventually became lovers. They took their relationship to the next level with the blessings of the family members and by the official engagement. It is reported that their marriage will took place by the end of this year. In an earlier interview given to the times of India, Priyamani revealed her love story and said it was she who proposed to him as she liked him as person of sense of humor and  straightforwardness. Her family didnt had any issue accepting him even though he belongs to a different religion.

Actress Meghna Vincent got engaged to Don Tony, Actress Dimple Rose's brother on April 10, 2016. Megna, (chandanamazha serial and Daivam Thantha veedu fame) shared her engagement and betrothal with Don Tony on her social media page. She shared her excitement as follows

Megna is the daughter of Vincent and Nimmy (yesteryear actress ) and is originally from Kochi, Ernakulam.  Megna is known to Malayali audience by the name of her character Amrita in the Asianet Malayalam Serial Chandana Mazha. For Tamil audience she is Seetha, heroine of Daivam Thantha Veedu, Tamil serial on Vijay TV.  Actress Meghna made her debut in Malayalam Television through the serial 'Swami Ayyappan' . Actress Meghna Vincent to marry Don Tony

Actress Meghna Vincent (chandanamazha and Daivam Thantha veedu fame) to marry actress Dimple Rose' Brother Don Tony  

Actress Meghna Vincent is going to enter wedlock soon. She will marry Don Tony, brother of actress Dimple Rose. The news has been confirmed both by Meghna and Dimple in their social media pages.

The groom, Don, from Thrissure is the chief executive of a private company Dream Creations. He is the son of  Tony and Dency and brother of actress Dimple Rose.

The marriage was confirmed on 14 February 2016. The engagement took  place at Meghna's house in the presence of close family members and relatives only. The formal betrothal and wedding ceremony dates are not yet announced and is planned for next year. It is an arranged marriage.

Actress Meghna  made her debut in Malayalam Television through the serial 'Swami Ayyappan' . She is currently playing the lead role of Seetha in Daivan thanta Veedu serial on Star Vijay.
