Chandanamazha new actress Vindhuja Vikraman| Vinduja as Amrita in chandanamazha serial  heroine: Actress  Vindhuja Vikraman  replaced Meghna Vincent in  Chandana Mazha  Serial on Asianet.

Chandanamazha the popular malayalam serial on Asianet which started telecasting on 3 February 2014. Chandanamazha is a remake of Star Plus hindi Serial 'Saath Nibhaana Saathiya' has completed 980 Episodes. It is one of the longest and successful serial on Indian Television. The serial is among the top five serials in malayalam according to BARC ratings.

Ever since, Meghna Vincent decided to quits the serial every one is asking about who will replace her in this serial. Now Asianet is airing promos projecting Vinduja Vikraman as the new heroine of their super hit serial Chandanamazha. It will be a big turning point to her career due to the popularity of the television series.

Vindhuja Vikraman is a model and actress from Trivandrum. She completed her schooling from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Kodunganoor. She is currently acting in Amrita Tv's Serial Kali Gandaki and in Athmasakhi (Mazhavil Manorama). She is the heroine of that serial directed by Madhupal. Actor Munshi Venu passed away

Actor Munshi Venu (63) passed away at a at a palliative care centre at Chalakudy, Thrissur, following kidney failure on Thursday, April 13, 2017.  He was suffering from kidney-related ailment and were undergoing treatment. He hails from Thiruvananthapuram and was unmarried and was living alone in a lodge in Chalakudy for the past 10 years.

Actor Munshi Venu (Venu Narayanan) is known for his role in Asianet’s social satire television show ‘Munshi’ as a panchayath member. The show fetched his roels in television serials and movies. Following the success of Munshi, he debuted as malayalm move actor in director Kamal's movie Pachakuthiara starring Dileep  in lead role.

Venu has acted more than 60 movies in supporting or comic roles and is noted for acting in ‘Chota Mumbai’,'Salt 'n' Pepper', 'Kanyaka Talkies',' Immanuel','Daddy Cool', 'Thilakkam’, ‘Kadha Parayumbol’, ‘Utopiyayile Rajavu’,'Oru Muthassi Gadha' etc. Honey Bee 2 was his last movie

Surabhi Lakshmi wins Best Actress Award at the 64th National Film Awards 2016

Surabhi Lakshmi winner of  Best Actress Award at the 64th National Film Awards 2016: Surabhi Lakshmi bagged the Best Actress award for her film ‘Minnaminungu’ at the 64th National Film Awards 2016. The awards were decided by a Jury with popular director Priyadarshan as the jury chairman.She was the winner of special award for best actress in 47th Kerala State Film Awards  for 2017 for the same movie.

Even though she lost the best actress award at the State Film Awards to Rajisha Vijayan, she made it at the National Level. She has won Film Critics Award for Second Best Actress in this year. Surabhi Lekshmi is the daughter of Andy and Radha from Calicut. She is married to Vipin Sudhakar (Photos).

Surabhi Lekshmi  hails from Kozhikodu is a trained dancer and theatre artist.  She is very popular as the character Pathumma, wife of Moosa,  in Media One serial M80 Moosa. Her unique sound and dialogue delivery in Caliccut accent were noted by the audience soon. Anish Rehman (also referred as Aneesh Rehman) is a dancer, actor, anchor, choreographer and performer. Suraj Venjaramoodu to host Deal or No Deal Season 2 On Surya TV from 25th December 2016

Deal or No Deal Season 2- game show on Surya TV will be launched on December 25th, 2016 at 9:00 PM. This is the second season of popular reality show on malayalam channel Surya TV. The show will be aired every Saturday and Sunday at 9:00 PM.

Malayalam film Actor and National Award Winner Suraj Venjaramoodu will be the host of the Season 2 of Deal or No Deal on Surya TV. Actor Jagannadha Varma passed away

K N Jagannatha Varma(77), veteran actor in Malayalam Movies and Television serials passed away on Tuesday 20 December 2016 in a private hospital in Neyyattinkara, Thiruvananthapuram. He is admitted to the hospital due to prolonged pneumonia. His last rites and funeral were held in the premises of his ancestral home Kattunkal Kovilakam at Varanadu in Cherthala.

He is survived by his wife Shanta Varama, son Manu Varama and daughter Priya Varma. His daughter Priya is married to Malayalam movie director Viji Thampi.

Jagannatha Varma retired from Kerala Police as Superintendent of police and is also an accomplished Kathakali artist. He was also a percussionist, learned the art from Kalamandalam Raman Namboothiri. He made his 'arangetram' as Thayambaka artist at the age of 74 and loved to devote time to the instrument.

Nisha hails from Palluruthi in Ernakualam. She is the daughter of Shargadharan and Shyamala. Nisha got married to her cousin at an young age and has two daughters Ravathy Chandran and Revitha Chandran, both are students. Nisha completed her under graduation from SN College Kollam, after her marriage. Nisha was trained in music and dance from an young age, with specialization in Bharatnatyam. She lives currently with her family in Kakkanadu in Ernakulam. She has mentioned in many interviews that her life was not a happy one and she struggled to make ends meet. It was her acting career that helped her to improve her life. She also said that she is an independent family loving women who likes to be happy and take everything positive by ignoring troubles on the way. She likes to be part of more movies than to appear on TV screen.

Serial and Film Actress Rekha Mohan Found Dead

Malayalam Actress Rekha Mohan found dead inside her flat in Shobha city in Thrissure on 12 November 2016. The reason for her death is still investigated by police. Police suspects that Rekha's death have occurred two days ago.

As her husband, currently in Malysia cannot contact her for the last two days,  he informed her driver and found that her flat was closed for two days. Her driver then informed police and security of the flat. The door was locked from inside. Her flat was then opened in the presence of Police. Her body was then found leaning over the dining table. After completing the inquest, her body was shifted to hospital for postmortem. She is survived by her husband.

This news came as a shock to Malayalam TV and movie industry. Rekha Mohan has acted in many malayalam serials and films. She has acted in  Udyana palakan, Nee Varuvolam and Yathramozhi. She is known to Malayalam Television audience as heroine of Mayamma and Sthreejanmam serials. She was also part of many other TV serials.

Update: Police confirmed after postmortem that she died of heart attack. It is also reported that Rekha was under treatment for cancer for a long time

Mayamohini Serial Actress Sabarna Anand (Suguna) found dead

Sabarna, V actress, RJ and anchor was found dead in  her house at Maduravoyal in Chennai on Friday , 11 November 2016. As Sabarna's house door was not opened for three days and also after getting stinky smell neighbors informed police. Police opened the door and found her dead. A letter was also recovered from her house. The reason behind the unnatural death is not yet known- Is it an accident, suicide or murder?.

Ronson Vincent (also reffered as George Ronson Vincent) is an Indian actor and model. He is now known for his acting Malayalam Serials and Telugu films. He is known to malayalam audience for his role as hero Nandan in top-rated serial Bharya on Asianet. He has done villain and co-actor roles in Telugu films.

Career
Ronson started his career as a model. He made his debut as a film actor in 2010 through Telugu film Manasara directed by Ravi Babu. Director Ravi Babu picked him after seeing Ronson's  fashion show in Calicut. In Manasara  he portrayed the character with shades of grey. For his performance Ronson received Bharata Muni award for the best villain for this film. He later acted as co-actor in teludu movies Mallela Theeram Lo Sirimalle Puvvu , Mr. Pellikodukuand Blood. He will soon make his debut to malayalam movies through Thomas Benjamin's directorial debut, Study Tour Batch 162.

However, Ronson got acceptance as an actor in Kerala after his entry to Malayalam television screen through Asianet channel's soap opera Bharya. The serial is directed by V.K Gireesh Kumar and produced by S.Ramesh Babu under the banner Rise Sun pictures.  Ronson gives life to the character Nandan, son of Prof. Vishwanatha Menon and Jayapradha teacher of Vrindavanam. Bharya tells the storya of the family after the hero, Nandan, played by Ronson, fall in love with Nayana and marry her. Aleena Padikkal  portrays the role of Nayana. The serial also stars popular actors Yuvarani, Ilavarasan, Sonu Satheesh Kumar, Devi Chandana, Rajendran etc. The popularity of the serial is also helping Ronson and he is now a very familiar face among malayalai audience.

Ronson hails Calicut is from a film family. He is the son of yesteryear’s actor Rony Vincent (debuted as hero of the famous movie chillu )and his wife Iris. The well known malayalam movie director and cameraman A.Vincent is his fathers brother. After completing his schooling from St. Bede’s Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School, Tamil Nadu and graduation from  University of Calicut, he worked as a web designer and executive of Sesame Software Solutions. He is passionate about modelling and fashion designing and has opened a design warehouse and boutique (Raaz) in Calicut for wedding dress. Janaki, daughter of Manakkal Govindankutty lost her mother Aswathy on child birth. After the death of Aswathy and his mother, Govindankutty  hands over her daughter to Vijayaraghavan, a distant relative and his wife Ratnamma. Janikkutty’s new found love and happiness vanishes when her step mother Ratnamma becomes blessed with her own baby. She was forced to live like a servant in her adopted family and was not allowed to continue her studies after 12th grade. However, Govindan kutty take her to his new family, including his second wife Vijayamma and his three kids.

Again fate was against Janaki, she was forced to leave that family after the death of her father Govindan kutty. Jani gets attacked was admitted to a hospital where she found her mothers old friend. Her grandfather Balakrisha Panikker then takes her to Jaani’s maternal home. She was welcomed by her relatives as expected.   Monisha plays the role of Janikutty at this stage. Janikutty however completes her studies and try for her dream to enter civil service with the help of her uncle. The story of the tele serial is about how Janikutty survive the hardships in her life and become a strong and successful person.

Many child artists played the role of Janikutty in this serial. Baby Kezia played the role of Janikutty's life as 3 years old. It was followed by Niranjana as 5 -year old. Greeshma portray the life of Jani in the next stage of the character as a 10-year old school girl.

Actor Kochaniyan (R. Govinda Pillai) passed away

Malayalam film and television serial actor Kochaniyan (R. Govinda Pillai) passed away on Tuesday morning, 17 May 2016  at a private hospital in Kollam. He was 72. He was diagnosed with cancer and was under medical treatment for some time. However, his condition worsened and was admitted to the hospital. His funeral will be held on the grounds of his house in Aythil on 18 May 2016. He is survived by his wife G Nalinambika and two daughters, Swapna & Pinki (son in laws are Shaym P Nair and G.S Narayanan)


Kochaniyan, after completing his graduation from Fathima matha College, joined Indian Railways in Bangalore and worked there 1972. He later served as the senior manager of the Kollam District Cooperative Bank. He has pursued his acting career even while on service.

Kochaniyan has more than 20 years experience as theatre artist. He has acted in 25 movies and nearly 100 television serials. He has debuted as a theatre artist through Assisi Arts Club and Kollam Mela. His role in Kalidasa Kala Kendram's  drama Sati directed by O. Madhavan, gave him much awaited break in his acting career.

He later debuted as a television actor through the popular Malayalam television serial, Arabikkadalinte Rani on Doordarshan. It was soon followed by his film debut in Balachandra Menon’s Sesham Kazhcvhayil. He also acted in Mr. Menon’s April 18 and Prashanam Gurutharam . In addition to this he has acted in Samooham, Pakshe, CBI Diary Kurippu, Cheppadi Vidya, Nerariyan CBI ,  among many others

Kochaniyan's hit serials include Vamsham, Sthree, Murapennu, Snehatheeram, Black and White, Maunameghangal, Hamsageetham,Vadhu, among many others . His last serial was 7 Rathrikal on Asianet, which he couldn't complete due to health issues.
