Nayika Nayakan -New reality show to find acting talents will be launched on May 28th, 2018 Malayalam Channel Mazhavil Manorama. The show will be broadcasted every Monday to Wednesday at 9:00 PM since its lauch. The promos shows that the winners of the show will be given a chance to be the hero and heroine from the selected set of male and female contestants from auditions.

 Nayika -Nayakan will be a director Lal Jose Show. He along with Actress Samvrutha Sunil and Actor Kunjacho Boban will judges the performance of the contestants and will decide the winners of Nayika Nayakan. Pearle Maaney will host the show. Dain Davis will be the co-host. Dain was part of Komady Circus on Mazhavil Manorama

Nayika Nayakan on Mazhavil Manorama is similar to Surya TV' Vivel active fair big break telecasted in 2011 for finding heroine for Lal Jose Movie. Asianet also recently called application for similar show called  New face hunt to find heroine of Asianet Serials.

Director Lal Jose dont need any introduction to Malayalam movie lovers . He had directed and produced many super hit Malayalam movies. Kunjacko Boban and Samvrutha Sunil are very popular actors in Malayalam Cinema. Actress Samvrutha came lime light  after a hiatus through this show.

Malayalam Channel Asianet is all set to telecast their 20th Asianet Film Awards 2018 show as two episodes. Asianet Film Awards 2018 will be telecasted on 2nd June Saturday and 3rd June Sunday from 7.00 PM onwards.

The 20th Asianet Film Awards was held successfully in Angamaly's Adlux International Convention Centre on Sunday, May 20th 2018. The 20th edition of the acclaimed award showcased chief guest actor-turned-politician Kamal Haasan and a host of stars including Madhu, Mammootty, Jayaram etc . The awards were handed out for the films released in 2017.  The star filled show and colorful award event was  witnessed by around 10000 huge crowd. On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Asianet, Managing Director, K Madhavan, presented the cheque of 6 crores  to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan who attended the award ceremony. It is to assist  Chief Minister’s Nava Kerala fund.

Thodimuthalum Drisakshiyum won the award for the best film. Mahesh Narayanan won the best director award for his film Take Off. The award was handed over to him by veteran actor Nedumudi Venu. Nedumudi Venu won the 'Lifetime Achievement' award at the ceremony.  Fahadh Faasil bagged the best actor award for Thondimuthalam Driksakshiyum with Kamal Haasan handing over the award. Actor Parvathy won best female actor for her performance in Take Off. The audience witnessed a heartwarming moment as Parvathy took blessings from Mamootty who handed over the award to her and hugged her.  Asianet's 'Golden Star' award was bagged by Dulquer Salmaan, Tovino Thomas won the 'Best Performer' award and actor Kunjacko boan won film critics awards. Antony Varghese was selected as the youth icon of the year

The award show included performances by actor and dancer Asha Sharath. Actors such as Jayaram, Innocent,  Anusree , Anu Sithra , Nimisha , Durga , Paris Laxmi , Parvathy Nambiar , Aima, Neha saxena , Elizabeth Thadikkaran, Saranya Anand , Vijay Yesudas , Sakshi Agarwal and other comedy artistes Jagadheesh, Suraj Venjaramoodu , Salim Kumar, Ramesh Pisharadi, Dharmajan, Sunil Sugatha, Mamukoya , Kochu Preman, Prem Kumar young actors including Priya Prakash Varier and Keerthy Suresh of the Mahanati fame graced the award ceremony.  Playback Singers Shwetha Mohan , Shababaz Amen, Stephen Devasya etc are the main attractions of the show.

 The 20th Asianet film awards are for films released in 2017. The award function for the year 2018 was held at at Adlux Convention Centre , Angamali ,Cochin on May 20th, 2018.  This much awaited event was visual treat to the viewers with stars adding glamour and glitz along with wonderful performance on stage by celebrities.

Actor Kamal Hassan was the chief guest of the show. Nedumudi venu was honored with life achievement award.  Thondimuthalum Dridasakshiyum directed by Dileesh Pothen received best film award while Mahesh Narayanran director of Take off got best director award. Fahadh Fazil got bet actor award for his performance in Thondimuthalum Dridasakshiyum while Parvathy got best actress award for Take off . Jayaram was honored for his 30 years long outstanding film career in various languages. 

Chief Minister of Kerala attended the function of 25th year celebrations. Associated with its 25th anniversary celebrations, Asianet donated of `6 crore to Chief Minister’s Nava Kerala fund- special fund of educational development and health care. Chief Minister Shri Pinarayi Vijayan has been received from Star India South Managing director K Madhavan in the presence of Mammootty, Kamal Haasan, Innocent , Madhu, Nedumudi Venu and Jayaram.

These awards are given every year for artistic and technical excellence on  malaylam movies. Awards are presented in nearly 33 categories every year at the Asianet film awards. Actress Samvrutha Sunil is back to lime light with Nayika Nayakan Show on Mazhavil Manorama

Actress Samvrutha Sunil is coming back to screen after a gap thouth Mazhavil Manorama channels talent hunt show -Nayika Nakaan. A show for finding hero and heroine of Lal Jose’s latest film. Nayika Nayakan will be launched on May 28th, 2018 to find hero and heroine for a malayalam movie directed by Lal Jose. The new show will be broadcasted every Monday to Wednesday at 9:00 PM.

The promos are going on air now on her return to lime light.Actress Samvritha (Samvrutha) Sunil, who is still a girl-next-door for Keralites, has been away from the limelight for quite sometime now. The promos highlight the return of Samvrutha Sunil to lime light again as a judge of this talent hunt reality show.

She started her film career through Rasikan directed by LalJose and became part of many movies directed by him and others. Samvrutha Sunil made her debut in 2004 through the film Rasikan directed by her mentor Lal Jose, she has starred in over 40 Malayalam films and in a few Telugu and Tamil films. Her performances include in the films Arabikkatha (2007), Chocolate (2007), Thirakkatha (2008), Boomi Malayalam (2009), Cocktail (2010), Manikyakkallu (2011), Swapna Sanchari (2011), Arike (2012), Diamond Necklace (2012) and Ayalum Njanum Thammil (2012). The movie 101 Weddings (2012) was her last movie before hiatus from entertainment industry. She always maintained that she will come back given a good chance. Now she is back to screen, but this time to mini-screen when she got a call from her mentor Laljose.

Avanthika Mohan Quits Athmasakhi serial on Mazhavil Manorama

Popular malayalm actress Avanthika  has decided to quit the very popular Athmasakhi serial recently. She plays the lead role of a bold and modern character Nanditha who is a doctor by profession in this Malayalam TV series. Athmasakhi was launched in  May 2016 on Malayalm GEC channel Mazhavil Manorama.

This fiction is produced by Shobana Umadharan under the popular banner Sauparnika Creations. The story and script is written by noted TV actress Sangeetha Mohan and the show is directed by Mohan Kupleri.  Rayjan Rajan plays the role of the hero Sathyajith IPS. The actors and actresses include Manu Nair, Beena Antony, Sree Raksha, Sanjay, Jishin Mohan, Sangeetha Mohan etc . The protrayal of Nadhitha by Avanthika was well received by the audience and they were not happy when a new actress Divya replaced here.

The Malayalam TV serial audience were clueless about the change. Avanthika Mohan finally  revealed the reason why she quits the serial in an intereview given to a National Daily that '"I am experiencing a special phase of my life and doctors advised me to take a 3 months bed rest that's why I was forced to quit the show. I am pregnant.The initial days are very crucial and so I need to take care of the baby within me. Busy shooting schedules really affected my health" she revealed this happy news on Maother Day. She also added that she is looking forward to the first mother's day next year. She is planing to come back to entertainment industry after this break.

Avanthika has acted in many movies including those in  Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada languages. She made her debut film, Yakshi – Faithfully Yours and was later seen in films including Crocodile Love Story (2012) and Mr. Bean (2013). 2014 she made her Tamil debut with Aalamaram. In May 2016, she debuted as a telvision actress through the TV series Athmasakhi .Later in June she made her Telugu Television debut through Raja Rani in which she plays a strong and innocent school teacher.She is getting positive reviews from both TV series.

Avanthika married Anil Kumar Kainth, a pilot by profession,  on August 31, 2017 at Kozhikode. It was a love cum arranged marriage. Rituals like Haldi, Mehendi and Sangeeth in Punjabi style were held on 30th August 2017. Congrats to Avanthika.
