Kerala State Television awards 2019-Winners list

The winners of the 28th Kerala State Television Awards 2019 were announced by Minister for Cultural Affairs A K Balan  at PR Chamber on 19th September  2020.  The award were decided by Kerala Chalachitra Academy by a Jury in feature and non-feature category. For the year 2017, Director-cum-actor Madhupal was the chairman of the fiction segment. Directors Saji Surendran and M A Nishad, writer Santhosh Echikkanam and actress Anumol wee the other members of the jury. Critic and documentary director O K Johny was head of the jury panel for the non-fiction segment. Senior journalist N K Raveendran, documentary director Shiny Jacob Benjamin, director Pradeep Nair, and cinematographer Manesh Madhavan comprise the non-fiction jury.  Journalist and writer A Sahadevan was the head for the jury for the writing segment which also consists of writers S Saradakutty and T K Santhoshkumar. 

Side Effects directed by Sujith Sahadev was selected as the best telefilm (above 20 minutes duration) in the State Television Awards for the year 2019. Savannayile Mazhapakshikal directed by Noushad for KITE Victers was chosen as the best telefilm (below 20 minutes duration

Kavitha Nair was awarded as the best actress of the year for the realistic acting in the KK Rajeev directorial, 'Thonyaksharangal',  The best actor title was won by Madhu Vibhakar for the teleserial 'Kunjiraman'. Maya Suresh won the award for the second best actor (female) and Muraleedharakurup won the second best actor (male) award for the same teleserial. Comedian Nazeer Sankranthi was chosen as the best actor (comedy) for Thatteem Mutteem.  Lesvin Ullas won the best child actor award and Comedy Masters. Uppum Mulakum fame Shivani Menon has also received a special mention in the child actor category.

Famous wildlife conservationist and snake expert, Vava Suresh was declared as the best TV host for his show, 'Snake Master'. Ramesh Pisharady hosted show Big Salute on Mazhavil Manorama  was chosen as the best TV show (entertainment). Maniramayam directed by C. Mithun for Mazhavil Manorama won the award for best comedy programme. 

Njanaanu Sthree in Amritha TV and Parayathe Vayya in Manorama TV shared the best TV show (current affairs) award. Ananthapuriyude Thirusheshippukal directed by Beena Kalam for KITE Victers won the award for best children’s programme. Iniyum Vaayichu Theerathe directed by Deepu Thamban for Kerala Vision won special mention for documentary (biography).

 ‘Mahaguru’ teleserial of Kaumudi TV won five awards. S Lavel (cinematographer), Lesvin Ullas Lesvin Ullas (child artist), Shibu Kumar (art direction), Shankar Lal and Rohini A Pillai (dubbing artist) bagged awards

In Thunder Lightning and Rain directed by Rajesh James for Kerala Vision was chosen as the best documentary (general category). Oru Thuruthinte Katha directed by Nishanth M.V. for Asianet News and Cherudhanyangalude Gramam directed by G.S. Unnikrishnan Nair for Kairali TV shared the best documentary (science and environment) award. Venalil Peytha Chattumazha directed by R.S. Pradeep and Ritwik Baiju Chandran’s Jeevanulla Swapnangal shared the best documentary (biography) award.

Sankar Lal won the award for the best dubbing artiste (male) for Mahaguru in Kaumudi TV, while Rohini A. Pillai won the best dubbing artiste (female) for the same teleserial. Lesvin Ullas won the best child actor award, Lavel S. won the best cinematographer award and Shibukumar the best art direction award for the same teleserial. Prakash Alex won the best music director award and Thomas Kurian the award for the best sound for Side Effects.

Jibin Jose won the award for the best news cameraperson for In Thunder Lightning and Rain in Kerala Vision. Arya P. of Mathrubhumi News and Anuja of 24 News shared the award for best news presenter.  K. Arun and K.R. Gopikrishnan shared the award for the best anchor/interviewer (current affairs) for Janakeeya Kodathi and 360 in 24 News. Saji Devi S. won the best commentator award for Njan Gouri in DD Malayalam. K.P. Rasheed of Asianet News won the best investigative journalist for the report Karimanal Republic.

Winners of 3rd Asianet comedy Awards 2017 | Telecast on November 11 &12, 2017

The winners of 3rd Asianet comedy Awards 2017 were distributed  in a star studded & colorful ceremony on 26th October 2017 at Adlux Convention Center, Ankamali.  This is the third edition of  the comedy awards by Asianet to honour and encourage the comedy artists and programs on malayalam television and film industry. The  award show will be aired on Asianet on  November 11 &12,  2017 at 7:00 PM

The show honored comedy talents from television and film fields. Comedy skits and dance by television and film starts added color to the show. Actors Madhu, Jayaram, Kunjacko Boban, Biju Menon, Renji Panicker, Neeraj Madhav, Rachana Narayanan Kutty etc were seen during the  show.

Awards were given in various categories like Best Actor,Best Actress ,Multifaceted Talent , Best comedy Movie , Best director,Best Song, Best popular movie, Versatile actor,Best writer comical scene/song , Best  script, Best Actress (TV), Best Actor (TV), Best Anchor, Supporting Actor,Versatile Performer (TV),Top TV Performer, Most Promising Actor,All rounder of the year,Entertainer of the year, etc . Winners of Kerala State Television awards 2016 announced- Pokkuveyil best Tele serial

Kerala State Television Awards 2017 Winners | Pokku veyil best Serial

The winners of Kerala State Television Awards 2017 in various categories have been announced by Kerala Chalachitra Academy on October 21, 2017. The awards were given every year on feature, n-n-feature and article category. The awards were selected from the entries submitted for the award by jury in each catergoy. For the year 2016, Ak Sajan, Dr B Ikbal and Dr George Oankoor were the chairperson of the jury in on feature, n-n-feature and article category, respectively.

Mangalam Mini screen Awards 2017-Winners List | Rathrimazha Best serial

Winners of Mangalam Mini screen Awards 2017 were distributed in a colorful ceremony on Sunday, October 2017 at MCP International Convention Centre Irinjakakuda, Thrissure. The awards were given to best performance on Malayalam Television scree. The awards were decided by a jury headed by Sona Nair.

Winners List of 2nd Asianet Comedy Awards 2016

Winners of 2nd Asianet comedy Awards 2016 were announced on 17 November 2016 in a glittering star studded event at Adlux International Convention & Exhibition Centre, Karukutty, Angamaly, Kochi, India.

The show honored comedy talents from television and film fields. Comedy skits and dance by television and film starts added color to the show. Mammootty, Dileep, Jayaram were the special guests and they distributed the awards. Megna Vincent, Archana Susheelan, Sonu Satheesh kumar, Arya Rohit etc among the TV starts who preformed dance  the show while Jagadhish, Suraj Venjaramood, Ramesh Pisharody, Dharmajan, Mamukoya and Beena Antony entertained the guest with comedy shows

The winners of 9th Asianet Television Awards 2016 were declared in a glittering and star-studded function on 16 June 2016  at AdLux Convention Centre, Angamali, Cochin. Actor Nivin Pauly was the chief guest of the function attended by eminent personalities from the movie and Television world. The show will be telecasted on 25 and 26 June 2016 from 07.00 PM.

 Kerala State Television Awards 2015: Complete List

The winners of Kerala State Television Awards 2015 have been announced by Kerala Chalachitra Academy on Friday, June 3, 2016.The awards were selected from the entries submitted for the award.

The winners of Kerala State TV award 2015 in the feature section were selected by the jury members including, Chairman Nemom Pushparaj, Sona Nair, Anil Thomas, Salam Bappu, VIjayakumar and CR Rajamohan. The awards in the non-feature section were selected by a five-member jury chaired by Suresh Shivadas while the winners in article category were determined by a Jury chaired by Sreebala K Menon.

Kerala State Television Awards for 2014 and 2015 announced

The winners of Kerala State Television Awards for various categories for the year 2014 and 2015 have been announced by Kerala Chalachitra Academy on Friday, June 3, 2016.

The winners of Kerala State TV award 2015 in the feature section were selected by the jury members including, Chairman Nemom Pushparaj, Sona Nair, Anil Thomas, Salam Bappu, VIjayakumar and CR Rajamohan. The awards in the non-feature section were selected by a five-memer jury chaired by Suresh Shivadas while the winners in article category were determined by a Jury chaired by Sreebala K Menon. The awards were selected from the entries submitted for the award.

The serial Eshwaran Sakshiyayi, directed by KK Rajeev, and aired on Flowers TV has won five awards in the categories of Best Serial, dubbing artist (Female), second actor, aecond actress and editor. Amrita TV's Kattukurangu won the second Best Serial award in 2015. The comedy show Comedy Super Night, hosted by actor Suraj Venjaramoodu, has been selected the best television show. Winners of Flowers TV Awards 2016 | First Flowers Television Awards

The first Flowers Television (TV) Awards for 2015 has been announced on January 2016. The awards in 15 categories were selected by a Jury lead by malayalam actor Madhu. Eshwaran Sakshiyayi, a thriller serial writteb by Bobby and Sanjay and aired on Flowers won the best Serial awards while the most popular serial award was bagged by Manjurukum Kalam serial on Mazhavil Manorama.

Actor Kishore Sathya won the best actor award for his role as Balachandran in Asianet Serial Karuthamuthu. Actress Sreelaya bagged the best actress award for portraying Kuttimanni, the central Character of Moonumani Serial on Flowers TV. The TV awards were distributed in a star studded event on 23 January 2016 at Kizhakkambalam in Ernakulam. The complete details of the awards show and the winners are given below. Kitex is the main sponsor of Flowers Television awards distributed in 2016 and the show is powered by meriboy ice cream and Bhima Jewellers. Winners of First Asianet Comedy Awards 2015 :Complete List & Telecast time

Winners of first Asianet comedy Awards 2015 were announced on 13 November 2015 in a glittering star studded event at Adlux International Convention & Exhibition Centre, Karukutty, Angamaly, Kochi, India.  In the award function, actor Jagathy Sreekumar received life achievement award while actor Jaganrdhanan got life time glory award.  Actor Jayaram was awarded best actor while actress Anushree  got bagged best actress award. This is the first time any television channel is giving awards to artist for their contribution in comedy. Asianet Comedy Awards 2015 was held in a similar format to  Asianet Television Awards 2015 and Asianet Film Awards 2015. Winners of 2nd Vijay Television Awards 2015 | Show on 19 September 2015

Winners of 6th Kazhcha Television Awards 2015 : Award Night on 24 May 2015

The winners of 6th Kazhcha television award is announced by Kerala television prekshaka samithy, in association with Media research institute on May 16, 2015. This award based on popular votes is given to the nominated malayalam television programs telecasted and censored during 1st January 2014 to 31 st December 2014.

Ente Pennu, the television serial on Mazhavil Manorama Channel won awards for best serial, best director and best script writer. Anand Kumar Thrissure won best actor award for his performance as Akash Menon  in Surya TV Serial Ishtam. Premi Viswanath won the best actress award for giving life to the character Karthika in Karuthamuthu serial on Asianet.  Mazhavil Manorama and asianet shared most of the kazha awards for entertainment programs. Kerala State Television Awards 2013 announced : Winners List

The Kerala Stare Televsion awards for 2013  by Kerala Chalachithra academy were announced by Minister for Cinema Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan on 21 April 2015.

The best teleserial award was won by Vaazhthappetta Mariam Thresia: Kudumbangalude Madhyastha directed by Sibi Yogyaveedan on Shalom TV  while  best telefilm award has gone to Makeup directed and produced by Nithuna Nevil Dinesh. Kuttipatturumal by Kairali TV won the award for the best TV show (Entertainment)

Actor Salimkumar won the best actor award for his role in the telefilm Parethante Paribhavangal on Jaihind TV while Sreekala bagged the best actor (female) award for her role in Makeup.

Asianet Television Awards 2014 on May 10, 2014 | Winners Complete Details


Asianet has announced its Television Awards 2014 Show . The award show will be held on May 10, 2014, Saturday  at 6 PM at Kozhikodu. Asianet TV awards is  one of its kind in Malayalam Television , an award show conducted only for one channel.

Asianet Television Awards 2013 were distributed at a dazzling function at the Nehru Stadium in Kottayam and over 20000 viewers witnessed the occasion. It was a star-studded event filled with glitz and glamour. Asianet Television Awards 2013 and show was telecasted on May 25 at 6.30 pm.

Sajan Soorya ( Kumkumapoovu) won the best actor award and Divya Vishwanath (Sthreedhanam) & Shelly (Kumkumapoou) shared the best actress award. Who will be winners this time.

Kerala State television awards for 2012 were distributed

The State television awards 2013 for various categories in 2012 were distributed.


Mukundan, who acted in Sandhya Ragam, is the best male actor and Prem Prakash is the second best actor for his role in the same serial.

 Ananya, won the award for the best female actor for Doore broadcast on Mazhavil Manorama. Its sound recordist Ebby has been adjudged the best in that category. Rani Sharan is the second best female actor for her performance in Lorry Girl .

The telefilm Mazhayodoppam Mayunnathu, a censored programme written and directed by Manilal, has won the award in the category of films above 20 minutes. Manilal has won the award for the best director in the same category.

Sandhya Ragam , aired on Amrita TV and directed by Sivamohan Thampi, won the award for the second best serial in the feature category.

Frog, written and directed by Sanalkumar Sasidharan and telecast on Kairali People, won the award the best telefilm in the category of those below 20 minutes and Rithul Sreekumar, who acted in it, won the special jury award.

 Deepa V.M. won the award for the best interviewer for the current affairs programme, Green Report , telecast on Indivision.

 Arun Sankar’s programme Kozhikode Medical College Operation telecast on Indiavision, won him the award for the best investigative journalist

Oru Kuruvi Nammodu Enthu Parayananu , directed by Pradeep M. Nair, and aired on Asianet News, is the best documentary in the science and environment category.

Kanayiyude Kala , a censored programme directed by Nemom Pushparaj, won the award for the best documentary in the biography category. The award for best documentary on women and children went to Akalangalile India dircted by Akhila Premachandran and aired on Asianet.

 Out of Syllabus, directed by S. Jayalekshmi for ViCTERS channel, is the best education programme. Walter D’ Cruz, who directed Pattam Parathunna Penkutty , won the award for the best documentary director.

A. Chandrasekhar’s article Paramparakalkethire Peedana Case Edukkanam won the award for the best article on television.
