National award winning Actress Meera Jasmine married Anil John Titus on Wednesday 12 February 2014 at at the LMS Church in Palayam, Thiruvananthapuram. The close relatives lead the function.
The wedding was followed by a reception at Edapazhanji RD Auditorium. Celebrities including Kavya Madhavan, Suresh Gopi, Dileep, Mallika Sukumaran were present during the wedding function.
The marriage was registered earlier on 9 Feb 2014. Police protection were arranged for the marriage following a complaint from Anil John. Following the marriage, Meera said to press and media that her first preference will be family but wont give up film world if she get good offers. Actress Meera Jasmine registered her marriage
Famous Actress Meera and her fiancee Anil registered their marriage as per the special marriage act on 9- February 2014. The registration formalities were held at her house in Kadavanthra, Ernakulam as per special marriage act. Only close relatives were present during the function. .
Anil John Titus is working as a software engineer at Dubai. He is the son of Titus – Sugathakumari couple, residents of Nandavanam, Trivandrum . Meera Jasmine is the daughter of Joseph and Aleyamma. If reports are to be believed the marriage proposal came through an internet matrimonial site and both families agreed to proceed into the relationship.

Meera Jasmine's fiancee seeks police protection for marriage
In a recent development Meera Jasmine's fiancee Anil filed a police complaint requesting for protection against a Bangalore based women, claiming to be his Ex-wife, and her father. Court assured that there will be police protection during their marriage.
According to recent reports by the media, Anil married a Bangalore based hindu women, who was his friend, at Thirupati Temple. But the marriage of a hindu with a christian in a temple is not legally valid according to bangalore family court as it should be based on special marriage act. This clarification was provide by the court on the divorce petition on his first marriage. Anil pointed out that a family court in Bangalore had dismissed a petition filed by the woman for divorce on the ground that their marriage was a nullity.
He said that the woman reached Meera’s house on January 23 and informed her about his earlier marriage and threatened that she would not permit the marriage. Anil John filed the plea as he feels that his first wife and his relatives might disrupt the wedding function with Meera.
